Professional photographer John Cannici, 35, and his wife Nikki Cannici, 34, of Massachusetts are parents to not just one, but two sets of adorable twins.

On Feb. 5, John of West on Jade Photography, decided to turn the camera on his own family—and the results are beyond precious. “The reaction to our photo was completely unexpected, and we are amazed to see it shared across the world,” John tells People. “we think it is the complete joy and connection you see between kids in the photo that made it go viral,” he continues. “Whatever it is, it is great to see our photo shared days that shows nothing but love.”

John and Nikki, who have been married for over 10 years, welcome twins Nico and Siena via IVF (in vitro fertilization) using two embryos in 2014. And they were surprised when they learned Nikki was pregnant with twins again last year as just one embryo had been transferred during the second IVF attempt, John says. Identical sisters Gia and Gemma were born on Jan. 26.

While the first photo shows the older twins holding hands and all smiles, John couldn’t help himself in sharing a second shot of the twins. He also shared a gorgeous shot of wife Nikki while she was pregnant. “She is beautiful,” says John.

The prond father says he hopes his photo will shine a positive light on nanism(侏儒症)families. “There is nothing more important out of any this exposure than serving as a positive example for the nanism community,” John says. “I feel it is important for us to show our struggles, to show what we’ve fought fpr so many year for, and to now show our accomplishment.”

You probably have a resume (个人简历) that you adjust from time to time, adding skills here or new titles there. It’s important to keep your resume updated to reflect your growing set of abilities and accomplishments. But it might come as a surprise to hear that The New York Times recommends writing a second resume. You list your failures, mistakes, and struggles along the way. By keeping track of your failures and reflecting on them in a way that’s constructive, you can learn from your mistakes and achieve more in the future.

Here’s how it works: In the format of your choice, make a list of your failures, whether it’s schools that rejected you, projects that failed, or goals you didn’t quite achieve. The key is not to dwell on these mistakes for hours, according to Melanie Stefan, a lecturer at Edinburgh Medical School who inspired several academics to create their own failure resumes a few years ago.

“If you dare and can afford to make it public, it will be six times as long as your normal resume. It will probably be totally discouraging at first sight,” Stefan wrote in an article that originally appeared in the journal Nature.

“But it will remind you of the missing truths, some of the essential parts of what it means to be a scientist and it might inspire a colleague to shake off a rejection and start again.”

Scientists aren’t the only ones who can benefit from reflecting on their mistakes. J.K. Rowling, for instance, is one of the many wildly successful people who has spoken publicly about her failures. And researchers at Columbia University announced last year that they planned to interview Nobel winners about their own failures in an attempt to better understand how personal and professional losses can promote learning.

I moved from the busy downtown to the countryside around Shanghai when I started elementary school. At first, I thought I was going to hate it, but to my surprise, I found that I preferred the quiet country life over the noisy city life.

The next move was more of a surprise for me. I was having a good time with my friends at school. But all of a sudden, my mom told me that we were going to move to the United States. Can you imagine how I must have felt ?My English wasn’t that good, though I did know the basics.

The day I arrived in the US was a snowy day. For a girl who grew up in Shanghai and hadn’t seen real thick snow on the ground, it was a big thing. Compared with my school in China, there were a lot more creative thinking questions, which I was better at anyway.

Time flew by and it had been almost four years since I moved. Then again, I was told we were going to move to Singapore.

As I’m writing this article, I am still new here and have been going to school for about two and a half months. I found out that the education here is quite special. Different from AP system in the US, the Singapore CIS uses the IB system.

This switch drowned me in constant stress. I was confused about the new curriculum, and I knew it would take me a long time to adapt. But what I’ve gotten out of my experience over three countries is that no matter where you are studying, you are always learning. And a piece of advice to people who are going to move around the globe: It’s always best to just roll with it.

B.Students are asked to do many projects together.
C.Students have more freedom to choose classes than in the US.
D.It is different from the US school system.
【小题4】What is the writer’s attitude towards her worldwide schooling?
A.Positive.B.Negative.
C.Critical.D.Doubtful.

Imagine you’ve finally landed a job of your dreams in another city. It’s everything you’d hoped for, but there’s only one problem — housing costs in the area are so high that you’re forced to live in a parking lot.

While this sounds like an impossible situation, this predicament is a reality for one man.

Brandon, 25, is a software engineer for Google at its San Francisco, California campus.

“I realized I was paying too large an amount of money for the apartment I was staying in, and I was almost never home,” he told Business Insider. “It’s really hard to justify throwing that money away. You’re not putting money into anything and you are not building it up for a future.”

Since scoring his job in May 2015 following a successful internship, he’s been living in a truck on a parking lot a short distance from his workplace.

The tech worker makes up for the lack of facilities by eating, using the bathroom and showering at work, also charging his phone and computer there.

San Francisco is home to the most expensive rental market in the US, with the average rental for a one-bedroom apartment coming to $3,590 (24,900 yuan) a month, according to property site Zumper.

And while some may not be able to handle giving up life’s luxuries just to put aside some cash, Brandon estimates that he’s saved almost $28,000 since he moved in just over 18 months ago.

“Not only do I get to invest all of that redirected rent money, but I get to invest all the money I’m not spending on furniture, facilities and buying food,” Brandon wrote on his blog.

D.Because he wants to save money for an apartment of his own.
【小题3】What does Brandon think of his choice?
A.Difficult.B.Embarrassing.C.Painful.D.Wise.
