Yesterday, when I complained with my mom about too little entertainment, she share the story of her youth with me. In the 1980s, neither iPads nor smartphones were invented. Each time when evenings approached, the children around would crowd into the only house where had a television. We stared at the small screen until the program ended. Parent would make every effort to drag their children to bed when it was getting lately. But now, iPads and smartphones have taken place of televisions. No wonder my mom always says we are the generation growing up in a honey jar. After listen to my mom’s story I felt lucky to live so a happy and comfortable life.

Five years ago, my mom got sick and my dad had to gave up his bread business. After my mom became better, my dad chose to get back into the bread business again. He worked hardly to set up his shop and get everything ready, so no one came to buy bread. I decide to encourage people stop by the shop to buy some bread and cheer my dad up. So I created a post on the Internet say, “My dad is sad because no one is coming to his new bread shop.” Where I stopped by my dad's shop the following day, the line was very long that people were standing outside. My post got shared many time and my dad's business soon got much more bigger than I expected.

I was waiting at the train station with a friend when a man was asked to borrow my phone. He was in a hurry and seemed disappointedly. He then called his family or said he had spent all his cashes on a wrong ticket. The train station wouldn’t let him change it, what left him at a loss. We talked for a while and I ended up giving him $20 buy a new ticket.

My friend said he hoped the man was telling a truth. In my view, it’s common to be a little sceptical about how the man’s story was real. Anyway, offering him $20 to get himself out of trouble feeling like the right thing to do at that moment.
