I have a summer vacation every year. But last year’s was most special for me.

My parents made me joined a summer camp. I had the chance to take part in such many activities but I even discovered my talent for painting. I draw a horse one morning. Unexpectedly, after see the painting, the camp teacher Mr. Zhang spoke highly of them and encouraged me to keep on painting. He said that as long as I insisted, there would be a greatly harvest. I was encouraged by his word. After the college entrance examination in this year, I plan to use the summer vacation to continue to learn Chinese painting.

When I was 8, my uncle sent I a T­shirt from American as my birthday present. On morning of my birthday, I wear the T ­shirt and walked to the market. On the way, some big boys laughed at me.I became very nervously, so I walked faster, but more and more boys laughed at me late. I turned back and ran from my home. I asked my mother，“Why did the boys laugh at me？” My mother looked at my T­shirts with a smile but asked，“Are you lonely？” Suddenly, I had realized why the boys were laughing at me. The message on my T­shirt was “I am lonely”．

I often wanted to look like as the slim girls on TV even though I knew it was impossible. To lose weight, I tried no-fat, low-fat, only bananas — I almost went madly.

Then I read an article what said instead of asking “Am I fat?” I should be asking “Am I fit?” I didn’t know a letter could make such difference! Once I started thinking about fit rather than weight, things began to change. Rather than cutting out the foods I enjoyed, I adds healthy foods to my meals. I could still have a burger now and then, but I would add a salad or an apple.

Finally, I stopped compare myself with actresses and models. Instead, I made a list of the thing I liked about myself. By being positive about me and my body, I became both happier or healthier.
