Reading novels are one of my hobbies. When reading a novel, I can imagine the world create by the author. I like to think of me as part of the novel. It feels like that I witness all the events. I am especially fond of go through short novels because long novels usually take a long time to finish than short ones. I am now a senior high school student. I need to devote my time and energy to preparing myself the College Entrance Examination. And my teachers often strong advise me and many of my classmate not to spare much time for novels. I understand their good intention but have followed their advice. I need to learn to be in the control of my time.

I am interested at swimming very much. At first, I went swimming just to keep health. Now my dream was to swim for my country in the Olympics. Though practicing in the pool is very bored, but I still work very hard in order to realize my dream. Because my hard work, I have already come first in much important competitions. In the competitions, I’ve made lots of friend and we’re very close. It’s much easier to have friends which are swimmers because they also have to get up early to practice like you and they understand this kind of life.

Reading have a lot of benefits. It can open up our eyes because of books are full of knowledge. I like reading newspapers and magazines from that I get lots of fun and learn about what’s going on around the world. I also read storybooks or novels which make me relaxing and happy. I seldom read e-book because they’re bad for eyes. On weekends, I usual spend a whole afternoon read in the library. And I also read for about half the hour before going to bed every night. Now I am going to read more classics as well as English books improve my language skills. I’m sure reading can make a difference to my life.
