Thirty years ago, my world almost fell apart. I had operation and was fired. In a few weeks, I saw an ad about a Spanish festival. Although I was very upset, and I decided to go. Here, I met a gentleman with who I chatted for hours. A few day later, I came home to found a letter at my door. It was from that friend. Inside the letter was a 1,000-dollar check to help me through his hard days. Sixteen years later, I met a family that bad needed help. I gave them enough money to get through. They called me their angel, but I told them I once had an angel, also.

This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot.

I was deeply impressed by the interviews carrying out in the streets. In the beginning, I wasn’t used to talk to strangers. But under the help of my teammates, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers that we got were brief. Before we discussed the problem, my teammates and I realized that it was because the questions weren’t open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share with us their ideas in end.

From this experience, I’ve gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.

I can still remember I was once asked to make a speech before the whole class by the age of 9. You can imagine how shy I was when I thought of that with so many eyes fixing on me. I had no choice but prepare for it, though. The hardest part was my oral presentation from my memory, as reading from the paper wasn’t allowed. The real moment began with when I stood on the platform with my legs shook and my mind blank. And my listeners were waiting patient. Gradually, I found me back, giving my speech at last. After what seemed to be a long time, I heard the listener applauding loudly. Ever since then, my fear of speaking before a big audience had disappeared. Actually, now I’ve become a great speaker!

How are you recently? Knowing that you are interested in the Tai Chi classes, I am willing to share with you my Tai Chi experience and their benefits.

At first, I hesitated to go to the Tai Chi classes holding in Sunshine Sports and think it was just for old people. However, it was after a few classes when Tai Chi caught my imagination. Gradually, I began figuring on the ancient Chinese culture behind Tai Chi, that is deeply rooted in the Chinese philosophy of yin and yang. Practicing of Tai Chi for a certain time has influenced my daily life. My mind has been relaxing in stressful situations, it has also refreshed and energized me a lot.
