Being a volunteer can bring much benefits to us. We can learn new skills, gain valuable experiences, meet new people and so on. In the late August last year, I took part the voluntary work for a international sports meeting. Every day I worked in the supply office in the Athlete Villages for about seven hours. My job is to deliver daily supplies to the officials and athletes. When the sports meeting closed, I finished my job successful. Though the job was hard, but it was very meaningful. I made some friends with the people live there and some athletes from all around the world. This voluntary work also enriched your working experience, from that I learned some skills as well.

The other day, I together with several friends went back to a nearby hospital to do some voluntary works. We helped some patients cleaned their rooms and did everything we could to serve them. I noticed a little girl between the patients. She was weak, so she was lovely and active. She asked to sing a song for us in return for our kindness. Stood in front of us, she began to sing. Greatly to our surprise, her voice was so beautifully that it fascinated us all. After that, we had the talk with her. She told us that her wish was to become a singer. We encourage her to follow her dream.

My family like doing voluntary work. My parents and 1 are used to going to the community center to help the people lived there. Last Saturday, my family did somethings for others. My father, who is a computer engineer, check and fixed computers for neighbors but my mother made taste dumplings for the elderly people. 1 have been taught some primary school students to play with chess for years. Next weekend if we are available, we clean the house for the old people. I think that my family do is meaningful. It is known that helping others is helping ourselves. It can also bring happiness to them.
