Last Friday, I took part in an English speech contest holding in our school. There were twelve students in the final contest but I was one of them. Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for them. I wrote down that I was going to say. However, when I stood in the front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was total empty. Then I took a deep breathe to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as better as I had expected, but I preferred to regard it a challenge to myself. I learned a lot from the contest, which process benefited me most.

I can’t forgot one of the most coldest nights I experienced. It was six in evening and cold winds were blowing strongly outside. The water from the tap were icy cold, and made my fingers numb. We all decided to staying inside the house. My mother made hot tomatoes soup for us. It was great to have the hot soup, as it made me feel warmly. Around nine at night, it starts snowing heavily. Look outside the window, I saw snow falling on everything. My mother held me tightly in my arms and I soon fell asleep.

Last weekend, my class participated in a unforgettable picking event on a farm.

Surrounding by hills, the farm looked like a giant park, with sweet flowers, tasty fruits or singing birds. In arrival, we were warmly welcomed by some farmers. We quickly set out pick some peaches and oranges. Some fruits hung so high that we had to work together to pick it. It proved the power of teamworks. Then, an expert gives us a lecture on how to plant fruits properly. We learned a lot from the lecture.

How a significant and rewarding event it was! We couldn’t be more happier!
