Written by the Hayao Miyazaki, Spirited Away is a 2001 Japanese animated movie. It is a powerful tale with a strong heroine that won itself an Academy Award. Also, it quickly became Japan's most profitable movie in history. If you haven't seen it, please do not miss this heart-warming tale.

Comedian Mike Myers joins Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz to voice this Dream works film. Again, taking fairy tales and turning them on their heads, Shrek does it like no other! Of course, you can also enjoy the sequels (续集), but the first film is our personal favorite.

Finding Nemo has to be our favorite Pixar movie. Not only is the film strikingly beautiful, but it's extremely imaginative and adorable. As far as I am concerned, the sequel just cannot compare. Also Ellen DeGeneres steals the show with her voicing of Dory.

It's another fish cartoon about a little fish who thinks he's a nobody but wants to be a somebody. The film creates a whole underwater culture and while nothing is very realistic, there is a stimulating and carefree attitude about the film. Shark Tale is pure fun. It isn't as deep or meaningful as Finding Nemo, but the sharp jokes and light-hearted dialogue make it a comedy that people can appreciate.

As far as kids' movies go, The Lion King has to be the most classic animated film. It's also an award-winning Broadway play. Did you hear the big news? The Lion King was remade and came back in 2019 with a ridiculously talented cast.

The Meg

Parents need to know that The Meg is an action movie about a big prehistoric shark and a team of heroes led by Jason Statham trying to stop it. Violence is surely the biggest matter here: Many characters die, and there’s some blood. Shark fans are likely to be interested, but be warned: It’s slow and lacks real fears.

Hope Springs Eternal

Parents need to know that Hope Springs Eternal is a dramedy (情景喜剧) about a teenager named Hope who’s been living with terminal(晚期的) cancer for years and then discovers she’s recovering. But she pretends to still be sick to keep the identity and special consideration she’s become used to. Hope surely accepts the results of her dishonesty and learns how lucky she is to be able to plan for a future she never thought she’d have.

Dog Days

age 12+

Parents need to know that Dog Days is a comedy(喜剧)about people in L. A .whose lives are improved by dogs. Some of the storylines are sweet, such as a new family being formed through adoption (收养) and the development of an intergenerational friendship. And while the film is full of smiles, there may be some sad sobs(啜泣), too, since a dog dies.

The Endless (111 minutes)

Years ago, brothers Aaron and Justin fled Camp Arcadia. When they receive an invitation 1o return, Aaron convinces his brother to go back with him. They find friendly, welcoming people and a lot of secrets and mysteries. Justin can’t shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen, as the usual rules of physics seem to be off the table, and there’s a second moon rising in the sky.

Black Box (129 minutes)

Nolan Wright survived the car crash that killed his wife, but as “Black Box” opens, he’s still suffering from the effects of brain injuries. His memory is now so unreliable. Desperate to get more solid ground under his feel, he tries an experimental procedure -but the images and memories brought back are often more disturbing than helpful. The hard sci-n approach of this film is really impressive.

Barbarella (98 minutes)
