Conway: On the north Wales coast, Conway is where you’ll find the world’s smallest house, as well as a much larger “house”，Conway Castle, which was built in the 13th century.

Anglesey: This beautiful island is joined to the rest of north Wales by a road bridge and a railway bridge, and it’s just a short drive from Conway. Here you can visit the village of Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll which has the strangest name in Europe. Don’t miss the station. The sign runs the complete length of the platform! Also on Anglesey is Beaumaris Castle, which was started in the 13th century and to this day remains unfinished.

Sonwdonia: Just a couple of hours’ drive from Beaumaris is the Snowdonia mountain range, which takes its name from the highest mountain in Wales, Mount Snowdon. From there, visit the famous Swallow Falls at nearby Betws­y­Coed.

Portmeirion: In 1925 Clough Williams­Ellis bought an attractive piece of Welsh land for less than ￡5,000. He then set out to show the world how a naturally beautiful castle could be built without being damaged and spent the next 50 years building the town of Portmeirion with a style of Italy.

Aln Dubal, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Located in the Dubai Marina, the Ain Dubai, opened in 2021, is the tallest sky wheel in the world with a height of 820 feet. It’s capable of carrying 1,750 passengers on a single rotation(旋转). One rotation of Ain Dubai takes 38 minutes, and you can even have a birthday party or a wedding in one of the capsules!

High Roller, Las Vegas, Nevada

At 550 feet tall, it opened in 2014 as the tallest sky wheel in the world and held the record for seven years until it was replaced by the Ain Dubai. The High Roller has a total carrying capacity of 1, 120. And in case you get bored of the view, each capsule is equipped with eight flat screen televisions.

Singapore Flyer, Singapore

The Singapore Flyer opened in downtown Singapore on April 15, 2008. The giant wheel stands at 541 feet tall. Each of its 28 air-conditioned capsules can hold 28 passengers. A few months after opening in 2008, the Singapore Flyer changed directions to bring good fortune.

Star of Nanchang, Nanchang, China

The Star of Nanchang, built in 2006, stands at 525 feet tall and is located in Nanchang, China, the capital of Jiangxi Province. Its 60 capsules can carry eight passengers each, and it’s rather slow for its size. It takes 30 minutes to make a full rotation, allowing the passengers at the bottom of the wheel to exit the ride without stopping the entire wheel each time.
