What makes a home? Love, sympathy and confidence. It is a place where kindly affections exist among all the members of the family. The parents take good care of their children, and the children are interested in the activities of their parents. Thus all of them are bound together by affection, and they find their home the happiest place in the world.

But for me, sometimes I can’t feel the love from my mother and can’t feel the warmth of the home Quarrels happen between us frequently.

“Bang!” The door caused a protest. “Never set foot in this house again!” shouted Mom. With tears welling up in my eyes, I rushed out of the house and ran along the street.

A young mother who held a child in her arms walked past me. I felt as if I saw my childhood: happy and harmonious.

But then I didn’t know whether it was because I had grown up or because Mom was getting old. We were just like two people coming from two different worlds. It felt like there was an iron door between us that could never be opened.

I wandered in the street, without a destination in my mind. My heart was frozen on this hot summer night. After wandering aimlessly in the street for hours, I felt really hungry and wanted something to eat However. with no money in hand, I could do nothing but weep and sigh. A grandma, who was a snack seller at the roadside noticed me and said, “Little girl, hungry, huh? Here is a bowl of noodles for you. Take it and go home quickly. ”With grateful tears hanging in my eyes, I accepted the noodles and kept expressing my gratitude. “Thank you so much! I will appreciate it all my life!” The grandma said sincerely. “You don’t need to thank me. I am just a stranger who gave you a bowl of noodles, but your mother cooks for you all her life without any complaint. Have you ever said ‘Thank you’ to her?” Hearing this. I stood there, numb with shock.

Paragraph 1. I remembered mother’s familiar face and weathered hands.

Paragraph 2. I opened the door and instantly tears ran down my cheeks.

I woke up earlier than my brother as every other day of the week. I jumped out of the bed, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and had breakfast. Saying good bye to my mother, I got in the car no later than 7:05. I got to school on time, even though my brother came out of the house late as he used to.

It was a Thursday. I was walking to the chemistry rooms when my phone in my left pocket vibrated(震动). I took it out and looked at the shiny screen. As soon as I saw my father’s name on that screen I realized something was not right.

He would not call me in the middle of a school day just to talk. He would want me to focus in school and do well. I answered the phone, and my father sounded worried. He told me to find my brother as soon as possible, walk with him to the school picking-up zone and get in the car with my brother. Our driver would take us back home where my father was.

When I was in the car with my brother my dad called the driver and told him to take us to the hospital. We were going to meet him and my mum there. As soon as my brother and I found about the change in plans, we looked at each other in the eyes. I immediately noticed the fear in brother’s eyes.

To be honest, I was really scared too, probably more than he was. But I did not say anything. We arrived at the hospital. I saw my dad on the phone waiting for us at the entrance. He was smoking. Seeing my dad smoking made me more worried. I had never seen him smoke before. He hated it. As soon as he recognized the white car, he threw the cigarette away. I looked at my brother; he was looking out of the other window. I did not tell him what I just saw. I did not want him to worry.

The car stopped right in front of my dad.

We walked down the hall with our eyes closed.
