When you are storm chasing（追逐）,most mornings start off in a cheap hotel trying to remember where you ended up the night before. This morning, we were in Wichita, Kansas, midway through a project to_______the dramatic and destructive weather that travels across the middle of the United States every spring.

Then we reached the border of our targeted storm and entered a dark scene of clouds and occasional rain.
