We celebrate Teachers’ Day every September 10^th. 【小题1】 that day, we will send best wishes and express our thanks to our dear teachers for their hard work. Some students write thank-you 【小题2】 (card) to our teachers; others would like to send 【小题3】 (they) beautiful flowers. Sometimes we prepare performances or give them hand-made gifts. In our school, we also have a tradition of serving tea to each teacher in the morning.

May 21st this year marks the first International Tea Day, which was named officially 【小题1】 the United Nations on November 27th, 2019. To celebrate 【小题2】 festival, a number of events took place at the Chinese Businessman Museum in Beijing on Thursday.

The chairman of the China Culture Promotion Society 【小题3】 (address) the opening ceremony. “As a main promoter of the International Tea Day, the birthplace of tea and the 【小题4】 (large) tea-producing country, China has a 【小题5】 (responsible)to work with other countries to promote the healthy development of the tea industry. It can help to build a community with a 【小题6】 (share) future for mankind,” he said.

The “First International Tea Day Tea Road Cooperative Initiative” issued (发布) at the ceremony calls for people working in the tea industry to come together to promote international cooperation 【小题7】 cultural exchanges. A four-year tea promotion —Tea Road Cooperative Plan — was also issued in accordance with the initiative.

【小题8】 (strengthen)the connection with young people, the event included a number of public promotional activities on social media, 【小题9】 (invite) twenty-nine tea professionals from around the world to have thirty-six hours of uninterrupted live broadcasts.

The Chinese Ancient Tea Museum was officially unveiled (揭幕) at the ceremony, opening 【小题10】 (it)first exhibition: The Avenue of Truth — A Special Exhibition of Pu’er Tea.

Well, the range of options open to today’s youngster or even ‘oldest, for that matter, 【小题1】(be) a far cry from the traditional party or restaurant visit. No longer is it considered sufficient to invite your friends round, buy some food and get a baker 【小题2】 (produce) a cake. No, today's birthday boy or girl is looking for something out of the ordinary, ranging from the extremely expensive to the downright dangerous. Anything goes, 【小题3】it is unusual and impressive.

Of course, if you have the money the world is your oyster. A well-heeled relation of 【小题7】 flew fifty of his friends to a Caribbean island to mark the passing of his half century.

Unfortunately, I was only a distant relation.

Undoubtedly, the more traditional forms of celebration do continue to satisfy the less extravagant or less adventurous 【小题8】us. However, with my own half century 【小题9】 (appear) on the horizon I would not say no to a weekend in Paris and a meal at the Eiffel Tower. I can but 【小题10】 (dream). Perhaps by the time I’m eighty I’ll be able to afford it.
