Some designers in Japan have tried to build regenerative architecture (再生式建筑). The idea behind it is that houses can 【小题1】 (build) in such a way that they benefit the environment.

The project on Yakushima Island is called Sumu,which means both “to live” and “to become clear”, 【小题2】 (represent) the need to live in balance with nature. To achieve their goal, the designers provided some 【小题3】 (create) solutions. They built the housing that could give back to the very soil that 【小题4】 (support) it. This is the heart of regenerative architecture.

The buildings themselves were 【小题5】 (careful) placed to make use of the benefits of the nearby water and ongoing air flow. The buildings were designed around existing trees and were lifted 【小题6】 (reduce) their effect on the building site. They took full advantage of the views on the island to encourage a 【小题7】 (connect) with nature. This idea is also shown with outdoor walkways between sleeping areas 【小题8】 the common areas. Moreover, Sumu is powered by clean energy. The indoor designs are also in a simple style. They feature local wood 【小题9】 reflects elements (元素) of the forest and coast. Here you can see a good mix 【小题10】 traditional and modern styles.

I would like to live in a well-designed house 【小题1】 (surround) by walnut trees and which has a garden 【小题2】 (fill) with flowers. 【小题3】 (paint) yellow and green, the walls of these 【小题4】 (decorate) rooms would seem larger than they really are. These smart homes will keep us 【小题8】 (security), save us energy, and provide 【小题9】 more comfortable environment 【小题10】 (live) in.
