3,000-year-old Egyptian city

A group of archaeologists has found the 【小题1】(large) ancient city ever discovered in Egypt.

The city,【小题2】(name) "The Rise of Aten", was discovered under the sand on the western bank of Luxor, an archaeologist said in a statement.It dates back to King Amenhotep III,【小题3】ruled Egypt between 1391 and 1353 BCE, according to 【小题4】 statement.

It was the largest administrative and industrial 【小题5】 (settle)in the era of the Egyptian empire. In 2020, Wu started collecting information. Many historical sites cannot be located 【小题4】(specific) and some information is not fully disclosed, for 【小题5】 he spent much time carrying out on-site visits.

Though facing difficulties, Wu has joy in this job. Now, the map includes nearly 10,000 historical landmarks using different colors 【小题6】(represent) different categories: Red signs show the cultural relic sites under state protection, while green signs stand for the 【小题7】(protect) historical sites by the provinces. Scattered like stars in the sky and towering on the ground, numerous ancient tall architectures are also marked on the map.

The cultural relics recorded on the map account 【小题8】 less than 2% of the over 760,000 immovable cultural relics. “If possible, I’d like to document many cultural relics that 【小题9】(lose) overseas for such a long time. Those treasures may not be able to return to their homeland at 【小题10】 moment, but the stories they carry are what we need to see.”

China’s Liangzhu Archaeological Site 【小题1】 (declare) a World Heritage Site on Saturday by UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee during its 43rd session in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The site, 【小题2】 is located in Yuhang District in Hangzhou City in China’s eastern Zhejiang Province, showcases the civilization of prehistoric rice agriculture between 3300 BC 【小题3】 2300 BC.
