When you have mountains of homework and studying ahead, getting started can seem like an impossible task.
Start with your easiest task to get the ball rolling.
Reward yourself when you complete a task. Treat yourself to help you stay motivated and make studying fun. If you’re in the middle of a study session, you can take a quick walk, eat a granola bar, or listen to a favorite song.
Work with your friends or a tutor. Positive peer pressure can be a great motivator! Unless working with others creates more of a distraction, find a study buddy or group you can collaborate with.

How to become a more interesting person
You might think that being interesting is a born talent, or that it means you have to be the ''life of the party''. Neither of those things are necessarily true. If you want to leave a good impression, you don't have to make sure all eyes are on you.
Show Up.
Even those who prefer to be alone can be interesting when they get going on topics they're enthusiastic about, or talking to someone they truly find interesting.
Be a Good Observer.
At first, walk around the room. If it's a dinner party, try something new or interesting on the table that you've never tried, which may give you something to talk about.
Make a mental game plan of conversation starters that will serve you well. You don't need to write down conversations before going out, but you should keep a couple of things in your pocket to keep the conversation going, or questions to ask if it stops. Simple things like ''How do you know the host? '' and ''How did you get here? '' are always good conversation starters.
Never Fear Silence.
Uncomfortable silences are part of talking with people. Don't rush to till them.
A.Go with a plan. |
B.End up with simple topics. |
C.So you should find those great conversations. |
D.Here are some tips anyone can use in any social setting. |
E.You should also observe people in the room you find interesting. |
F.You'd better let it run its course if there's a stop in the conversation. |
G.It just means you leave a good impression on the people you talk with. |
Are you an elementary or high school student with all kinds of invention ideas? You might not know what to do with all of these ideas or how to turn them into workable inventions.
Identify a problem worth solving.
Look at the world around you and ask yourself: What could work better? What task could be done better or faster? What annoys you and how could you fix it?
Draft your idea.
Draw out a basic illustration of what your invention will look like.
You don’t need to use the highest quality materials, but simply ones that will give you a functional working device. Try checking second-hand stores and yard sales for parts that you can use. This will be much more cost-effective and you will also be eco-friendly.
Build your invention.
If you will be working with power tools or other dangerous materials, you will likely need adult supervision. Ask your parents when they have enough free time to sit down with you and start building.
After everything is completed, it’s time to test out and market your invention. If it turns out well-received, you may even have your invention patented and mass-produced down the road.
A.Or turn to your older peers if they can help you out as well. |
B.If you enjoy creating things, you may consider becoming an inventor. |
C.With some planning and practice, you can make these ideas into a working device. |
D.Be creative with your ideas. |
E.Gather the necessary materials. |
F.Look around your home for recycled materials that you may be able to use. |
G.Make notes about how various pieces will go together. |
