A national activity, which aims to make people more strictly follow laws on the illegal (非法的) wildlife trade, will try to find out a large number of cases, in which millions of animals and plants are killed. If you would like to do some volunteer work for wildlife protection, then the activity will be suitable for you.
What should the activity do?
The activity will be really important, which aims to take away illegal gains from the lawbreakers and force them to receive punishments. This activity will also take away their wildlife products and illegal hunting tools. What’s more, all the lawbreakers will be taken to the police station.
What’s the purpose of the activity?
The activity is to stop the complete connection with the illegal wildlife trade across the country, including illegal hunting, killing, transportation and the action of buying and using the wildlife products. The government says that China will have its strong official action to punish those who work on illegal wildlife trade.
What’s your duty?
During the activity, the government hopes you can help check carefully part of tools, main stations and natural environment of the wildlife. You and other volunteers will be working together to help the experts build a law system (系统) that will cover all areas and leave no stone unturned.
What’s the future plan?
The next step is to increase the ways of working for wildlife resource information and management. We need lots of efforts so that the situation of national protection for wildlife will become satisfying one day.

Volunteer Wanted!
Would you like to volunteer for IF Oxford, the Science and Ideas Festival this February? It’s our 30th anniversary this year, and it will include over 100 events, both digital and in-person, in locations across Oxford city centre and southeast Oxford.
When to join us?
This year’s Science and Ideas Festival takes place between Monday 7th and Friday 25th February. We have volunteering opportunities on weekdays, from 9:00 am to 12:00 am, or from2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Even if you only have a few hours to spare, we can find something useful for you to do.
What to do?
You don’t need to have any scientific knowledge to help at our events, just a friendly personality, lots of enthusiasm and be over 18 years of age. You might be helping to set up a venue, welcoming or managing audience members, assisting a Q&A session, distributing literature, collecting feedback, helping to manage an event on Zoom or supporting our social media efforts.
What to expect?
Volunteers will:
·have reasonable local travelling expenses reimbursed(补偿).
·be covered by the Festival insurance
·get a Festival T-shirt.
·receive guidance and support from the Festival team, especially with our COVID security protocols(协议), ensuring we keep you and our audience safe.

Come to the Sanctuary, Australia and gain the satisfaction that comes from working in a great environment with an amazing team. Work along with the staff and other volunteers from all walks of life to take care of Australia’s native wildlife in their natural habitat.
The Sanctuary is quite popular with many of the local schools, and is recognized as an Advanced Ecotourism Attraction, winning lots of tourism awards. This volunteer project is looking for people who enjoy wildlife and want to work in an amazing environment. The work is rewarding but can be physically demanding and by no means an “easy holiday option”.
Typical day
You will join in the volunteer training program where training will be done in various activities. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Preparing food and treats for our animals
● Assisting the staff with their duties, such as weighing our animals and doing health checks
● Helping our visitors get the most out of their time at the Sanctuary
● Assisting the staff with tour groups
● Other specialised activities, such as preparing educational materials, gardening, construction and visitor assistance
Free-time activities
On days off, you can go to nearby museums and parks. Lots of activities such as diving, water sports, boat tours, helicopter tours and more are also available. These, however, will be paid by yourselves.

The average NYC household throws away about 2,000 pounds of waste a year. By reusing through events like Stop ‘N’ Swap, NYC residents can take part in saving over 40 million pounds of material from landfill every year. Take a break from shopping, support a cleaner future, and join the ever-growing reuse community!

The public is invited to bring clean and reusable items. No one is required to bring something to take something-you can simply show up with a bag and see what’s free for the taking. Books, toys, clothing, and electronics are just some of the offerings. Furniture and other large items are not accepted at the swap. Anything leftover at the end of the day is donated or recycled.
Stop ‘N’ Swaps have developed a regular following among environmentally conscious New Yorkers. After almost two years without swaps, GrowNYC has set a goal of hosting one swap in each of the city’s 59 community districts each year, providing opportunities to make NYC truly livable-a place where every person can enjoy a healthier life.
