On a recent cold windy day, I was working as a volunteer to clean up around the roundabout（环形交叉路口）at the Boothbay common. A car I didn't recognize _________ right behind me，and a woman I didn't know go out. I was _________what she wanted to do because not everyone liked the roundabout and COVID-19新冠病毒疫情 didn’t _________.

This incident has stayed with me ever since，__________the goodness of people in our region and the impact of a simple act of __________. I have made a promise to myself to __________ it on whenever I can. It was __________ to be the receiver that particular day，and I believe it feels just like that to be the giver. A big thank-you to that very __________ woman who stopped；you know who you are!

My mother and I were at the cafeteria of Sakra World Hospital in India for lunch. Since we had waited for quite some time, we decided to get the food ______ to go. We then went back to the private room where my father was ______.

In the afternoon when my mom and I were preparing to leave, I found my wallet ______. I had carried 4 thousand rupees (卢比) in it because I had to ______ some bills. I started to look around ______, and then remembered my ______ to the cafeteria a few hours ago!

So, as I was heading to the cafeteria, I was quite ______ of my irresponsibility and hoped   that no one had ______ the wallet. When I entered the cafeteria, it was ______ and just a couple of waiters were hanging around.

I asked one of them if they had seen a grey wallet. They told me to ask the cleaner lady named Rani who was cleaning the floor. When I asked Rani she told me to ______ on the counter (柜台). To my big relief, the wallet was there! I took it and had a quick look ______, and yes, all the money was there too!

Rani told me whenever she ______ to find something, she just put it on the counter. I gave her some money to express my ______, but she smiled ______ and was unwilling to accept anything. I was deeply moved by Rani’s ______ and so glad to have met a person like her!

My job is to help clients find jobs and return to school for training. One day, a lady came to my office with a dream to become a registered nurse. However, her family did not ________. With young children to care for and her husband unemployed, she simply didn’t have the ________   to return to school.

It was clear that this lady had a(n)________for the nursing profession, so I encouraged her to realize her dream. I________her with necessary information to apply for nursing school. She left my office, and I never ________whether she followed her dream or not.

Many years later, I was diagnosed (诊断) with breast cancer. I was________ to hospital. The surgery was successful. It was, ________，very painful. Though I ________ myself on not being a bell ringer, one night the pain was so ________ that I had to call for a nurse. I rang the bell and waited for________. A nurse came through the door and offered to help. I   ________thanked her for coming to my rescue. I said, “I am not usually like this.”

To my ________ , she said, “Oh, I know that, Mrs. Bryenton.” It________ that she was just the lady who I had encouraged to follow her dream years before. She subsequently (随后) returned to school for upgrading and later ________nursing.

You never know what ________________ your encouraging words will have on someone. It is amazing that many of my clients would return to say thanks to me.
