Su Mingjuan, the former poster girl for China’s most 【小题1】 (influence) education charity, has recently come back in the national spotlight as a delegate(代表) to the 20th National Congress of the Communism Party of China.

In 1991, a photograph of the then 8-year-old Su, 【小题2】 a pair of large, bright eyes crying for knowledge, 【小题3】(touch) the hearts of numerous people. Su was born into 【小题4】 poor farming family in Jinzhai, East China’s Anhui Province. The image of Su, then a first-grader, was 【小题5】 (actual) taken by a photographer who went into the remote mountainous areas to see how the Project Hope had helped rural drop-outs.

Su became the poster girl for Project Hope after this image impressed many people in China. Project Hope, which 【小题6】 (found) by the China Youth Development Foundation in 1989, is devoted to 【小题7】 (help) poor children get education. Over the past three 【小题8】 (decade), it has made a difference in the lives of 6 million students from poor families nationwide, among 【小题9】 is Su. The picture of Su, entitled “I want to go to school”, has been reprinted nationwide in newspapers, magazines and billboards, and has since become a symbol of the country’s efforts 【小题10】(promote) nine-year compulsory education among all school-age children.

It was Mother's Day morning last year. My five­year­old son, Tenyson, and I 【小题1】 (leave)the supermarket after shopping when an old woman fell over at the entrance and hit her head on the ground. Her husband was with her, but the woman was 【小题2】   (serious) hurt and shaking with pain.

At the front of the supermarket a charity (慈善) group was selling flowers to raise funds. Tenyson suggested that we 【小题3】 ( buy) the lady a flower. “It will make 【小题4】   feel better，” he said. I was amazed that he'd come up 【小题5】   such a sweet idea. So we went to the flower seller to buy a flower for the lady.

By now rescuers had arrived, and were attending the 【小题6】 (injure)woman. As we walked up to her, my son became frightened by all the blood and medical 【小题7】(equip). He said he was just too scared to go up to her.

Instead I gave the flower to the woman's husband 【小题8】   told him, “ My son was very upset for your wife and bought her this flower to cheer her up.”

At that, the old man was moved and said, “Thank you so much, you have a good son. Happy Mother's Day to you.”

The man then gave his wife the flower, 【小题9】 (tell) her who it was from. 【小题10】   badly hurt, the old lady looked up at Tenyson with thanks in her eyes and gave him a little smile.
