In general, people talk about two groups of colors: warm colors and cool colors. Researchers in psychology think that there are also two groups of people: people who prefer warm colors and people who prefer cool colors.

The warm colors are red, orange and yellow. Where there are warm colors and a lot of light, people usually want to be active. People think that red, for example, is exciting. Sociable people, who like to be with others, like red. The cool colors are green, blue and violet. These colors, unlike warm colors, are relaxing. Where there are cool colors, people are usually quiet. People who like to spend time alone often prefer blue.

Red may be exciting, but one researcher says that time seems to pass more slowly in a room with warm colors than in a room with cool colors. He suggests that a warm color, such as red or orange is a good color for a living room or restaurant. People who are relaxing or eating do not want time to pass quickly. Cool colors are better for offices or factories if the people who are working there want time to pass quickly. Researchers do not know why people think some colors are warm and other colors are cool.

However, almost everyone agrees that red, orange, and yellow are warm and that green, blue, and violet are cool. Perhaps warm colors remind people of warm days and the cool colors remind them of cool days. Because in the north the sun is higher during summer, the hot summer sunlight appears yellow.

To make our digestive (消化) system work well, we should avoid doing some things when we finish our meal. For example, though it is true that a person should drink 8 glasses of water every day to stay healthy, yet drinking water right after eating something or even during meals may disrupt digestion. So don’t drink water for at least an hour after a meal, and avoid drinking it while eating.

Though walking a hundred steps after eating is healthy, doing it immediately after a meal is not. Doing so will make it difficult for the digestive system to take in the nutrients from the food. So we shouldn’t go for a walk immediately after eating, and also should wait for at least two hours after eating, and then begin with our workout(锻炼).

Sleeping should also be avoided right after eating. This is because going to bed right after taking a meal will lead to improper digestion. Furthermore, such a habit will also make you put on more weight. Therefore, wait for an hour or two, and then take a nap.

Eating fruits at any time during the day is good except eating them immediately after a meal. Eating fruits right after your meal may fill the stomach with air and cause discomfort. So, to protect your stomach from digestive problems, eat fruits before or after one hour of a meal.

Moreover, they have to sit in a chair which turns around at high speed for 15 minutes, to find out how their body works. There are also mental tests to find out how they will deal with living in a very small room, and how well they will respond to dangers and solve problems.
