Shanghai hosts art exhibition on Silk Road

An art exhibition with works of 222 artists from 70 Belt and Road【小题1】（country）has opened in Shanghai. Co-sponsored by the Chinese Artists Association and Shanghai Art Museum, the exhibition,【小题2】（name） “Our Home-The Belt and Road Nations' Art Exhibition," runs until March 31, 2021.

Chinese sculptor Wu Weishan's creation is a major【小题3】（attract）of the event. The bronze statues of Leonardo Da Vinci and Chinese painter Qi Baishi standing next【小题4】each other have brought time to a standstill（停顿）.

Oil painting Turpan,【小题5】was created with sand from China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, depict（描绘）a【小题6】（gold）sky, mountains, valleys and rivers, said Alberto Manai, director of the Italian Institute of Culture Shanghai. The painting is full of strong and warm emotions, enabling people from different cultures and regions【小题7】（feel）the grand and profound charm of the Silk Road.

Camping was so popular as to even become a fashion across China during the just-concluded National Day holiday, with some joking that “half of the friends 【小题1】 WeChat were camping. Outdoor camping sites were popular during the holiday and had to 【小题2】 (book) several days in advance.

According to research firm iiMedia Research, the core market size of China’s camping economy reached 74.75 billion yuan ($10.5 billion) in 2021, 【小题3】 was 62.5 percent up year-on-year.

More market-sensitive players are plowing into the industry. In 2021, more than 20,000 new camping-related enterprises sprang up in China, 【小题4】 over 5,000 have been set up this year, according to the information provider Tianyancha.

Huzhou, 【小题5】 popular tourist destination in East China’s Zhejiang province, hosted the first Camping Conference in the Yangtze River Delta in June. It also became one of the first to 【小题6】 (official) regulate the construction standards and 【小题7】 (safe) supervision (监管) of camping sites. 【小题8】 (follow) Huzhou, Beijing and Nanjing in Jiangsu province have also introduced related policies for the healthy development of the industry.

“Consumers’ demand for outdoor activities 【小题9】 (increase) in recent years. I believe 【小题10】 (many) people will join in camping and other outdoor activities in the long run,’’ said Liang Qidong, vice president of the Liaoning Academy of Social Sciences.
