How to be patient

Notice your thoughts and physical feelings. The next time you are getting impatient, take a moment to notice the thoughts you are having and how your body feels. Maybe you start to have thoughts like, “This is taking forever,” or feel your hands clenching or your breaths getting shorter.
Take deep breaths. Close your eyes and breathe deeply, holding in your breath for a moment before letting the air out slowly. Deep breathing will calm your body and soothe your impatient thoughts.
