Visitor code of conduct

The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum is a national museum and open to all. Respectful use of the space, sources, and animals ensures a safe and enriching environment for all visitors.

Prohibited items

The possession or use of objects that are dangerous or prohibited by law is not permitted during museum visits or events. Backpacks, sports bags, and purses may be subject to “bag searches” at all entry points. The following items are not permitted into the museum: any object that makes noise, any animal except service animals, any dangerous items, any weapon, pocket knife, blade, pepper spray, and any object considered to be suspicious(可疑的) by security personnel.

Hours

The museum is open year­round. Current hours of operation are 9:10 am 4:30 pm from Wednesday to Sunday, including statutory holidays, except December 25. The museum offers free admission from 3:30 pm 4:30 pm. Please reserve your tickets in advance.

Age 60+: $10.25

Youth (ages 3­17): $10.25

Member: Free

Filming and photos

The museum welcomes visitors to take either photos or video images of the museum’s animals, buildings, exhibitions, and grounds during opening hours. All photos are for personal use only, not professional. Please be respectful of the animals while using your camera. Getting too close or being too aggressive in your attempt to get an image could compromise your safety and cause stress to the animals. For safety reasons and for the enjoyment of all visitors, all indoor photography or video recording must be done with hand­held devices only; no tripod(三脚架) or selfie sticks indoors.

Our class will teach young people not only everyday manners but also basic etiquette and tips that will make them appear more professional while attending a job interview. They will learn how to use the power of politeness to present the best of who they are in different situations.

The fitness center offers a variety of (各种各样的) activities for members of all ages throughout the week. Activities on Monday 12 July, 2017:

Learning to swim. Classes for preschool children aged five and under start at 10 am. Classes last 30 minutes and parents must attend (参加) with their children. Don’t forget to book (预定) in advance, as places are limited, and to pack some warm clothes for using after the lesson.

Woman’s aerobics (有氧运动). Sessions last (持续) for one hour and begin at 10:45 am, led by Melissa. Come along and join us every Monday for an exhilarating (令人高兴的) hour of exercise and fun. Leave your kids at the nursery (托儿所) and take time out for yourself. Wear a track suit (运动服) or something similar.

Lunchtime yoga (午间瑜伽). Take a break at lunchtime (1:00—2:00 pm) for an hour of meditation (沉思) and yoga. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our meditation room, and relaxing sessions designed for active people with busy lives. Use your own mat (垫子) for floor (地板) work or hire (租) one from us for a small sum (金额).

Family shootaround. 10:00—5:30 pm. Family shootaround is open for members and guests to bring the family out for basketball. Half court games are only during this time. There are no full court games during family shoot around hours. All participants must sign in (签到) at the front desk and wear a wristband (腕套) during the play.

Hawaii Reef Tank

Take in Hawaii’s excellent underwater ecosystem from top to bottom. This 300,000-gallon aquarium is home to more than 30 reef species, including impressive sharks and schools of colorful tropical fish.

Penguin Habitat Trainer Talk

You can watch penguins leap out of the water, sun themselves, or listen to one of our trainers talk about these amazing animals. You might even get to see them eat! Hear about their avian (鸟类的) characteristics as we introduce this cherished threatened species to the guests of Sea Life Park Hawaii.

Sea Turtle Feeding

If you’re curious about sea turtles and their care, then this exhibit is not to be missed. We have partnered with accredited facilities and experts to develop an ongoing program that fosters understanding and appreciation of these majestic creatures. Watch and learn about these amazing animals as our trainers feed them during regularly scheduled turtle feedings.
