China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism released the Fifth National List of Representative Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China on Thursday, 【小题1】 (add) 185 items to the list, including the skills 【小题2】 (involve) in making luosifen from south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Shaxian snacks from Shaxian County in southeast China’s Fujian province.

Shaxian snacks is a shining example of Chinese food chain brands, 【小题7】 most likely includes foods such as steamed dumplings, noodles and wonton. Now the local authorities 【小题8】 (work) to standardize and modernize operations at the restaurants to turn the brand into a 【小题9】 (success) and safe food business worldwide. Shaxian snacks has shops in more than 60 countries and regions including Japanese, American, French, Portuguese and Malaysian markets and its trademark registration 【小题10】 (approve) in eight countries over the past years.

Zibo city in Shandong province has【小题1】(expect) gone viral on Chinese social media since late February for its local barbecue specialty.

My favourite street food there is Jianbing. It is made on a round pan where some liquid batter (面糊) is poured, which is thinly spread by a 【小题4】 (wood) tool like a knife. An egg will be spread over its back with onion pieces and different sorts of spicy 【小题6】 (ingredient), and then a thin crisp cake is placed on the top.
