Below is a list of the “Explore the Woonasquatucket” summer recreational activities, which include paddles, bike rides, and hikes. The activities are sponsored by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council.

Explore Downtown Providence

Explore a beautiful stretch of hidden wilderness from the water and learn about the exciting. Plans for the development of the Promenade/Kinsley section of the Woonasquatucket River. We will start at the boat launch on South Water St.

Paddle Georgiaville Pond

Relax on this early evening paddle on Georgiaville Pond in Smithfield. We’ Il launch from the Smith - Appleby House and make our way to the town beach, where participants are invited to take a short hike to the Georgiaville Pond dam.

A Promenade on the Promenade

Join us on a biking tour of the historic Promenade / Kinsley Avenue stretch of the Woonasquatucket River. On this bike tour, we’ll look to the past of this storied corridor(狭长地带).

Hike Connors Farm Conservation Area

Located in the Town of Smithfield, Rhode Island, Connors Farm is a 2.9-mile loop trail (环形线路)that passes by small brooks (溪)and ponds and features a picnic area at the top of a lookout spot.

Rooms numbered 100-130 are on the first floor and those numbered 200-300 on the second floor of the main college block.

Mrs J Wardle is available each afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30 to help students with problems relating to housing.

Mrs Wright, the college nurse, is available each morning from 9:30 to 12:00 a.m. The college doctor is in attendance on Wednesday mornings.

3rd Session: Gain real-world experience through a paid internship semester at one of CIA’s 2,000+ food industry partners.

4th Session: Discover how real public restaurants are operated—hands-on, in our award-winning, live-action restaurant classrooms that serve thousands of customers annually.

How to apply：

Get started by submitting your application on our official website. Choose from two online options: CIA ONLINE APP or COMMON APP.

Next, to complete your application file, we just need three additional items:

▲ Request official transcripts(成绩单).

▲ Submit an essay to indicate your goals in life.

▲ Ask for a recommendation letter written by your teachers.

That’s it! You’re on your way to enrolling at CIA. If you’ve already submitted your application, learn more about the essay and supporting materials. Get ready for applications at least 3 months in advance in case of any interviews and background checks. Applications for our program are due by December 1,2023.
