We are seeking committed individuals to make a team to spend up to five months（November-March）living and working at Port Lockroy in Antarctica and running the seasonal operation of the site. As this role will involve working in Antarctica, successful applicants will be required to go through a medical assessment with our Occupational Health experts to make sure they are physically fit for the job.

Work as part of a team to deliver the seasonal summer operation of Port Lockroy, Antarctica.

Supporting the Port Lockroy Base Leader by:

*Helping the Shop Manager in running the Port Lockroy gift shop. This includes working during ship visits, restocking the shop as required, tidying up displays within the shop and helping customers.

*Penguin and other wildlife and environmental monitoring. A post-season report will be required by the end of March.

*Operating the Post Office. This includes managing all postal stock, promoting and selling all postal stamps, hand franking (在邮件上盖戳) all mail processed through the Post Office and coordinating (协调) transport of mail.

*Creating engaging content for our communications and social media, including a weekly blog written from Antarctica and occasional participation in other media, such as radio, TV and newspaper interviews.

*Fluent in written and spoken English

*Fluency in a second language (French, German, Spanish, Chinese languages preferred)

*Ability to analyze data and produce reports
