The Forbidden City

The Forbidden City in Beijing, China, was completed in 1420 during the early Ming Dynasty. It is the largest ancient palatial(宫殿似的)building in the world and it’s open to tourists to allow them to have a look at ancient Chinese architecture.

Niagara Falls State Park

When you arrive at Niagara Falls State Park, you’ll explore the Cave of the Winds to have an up-close look at the falls. The Cave of the Winds is a self-guided tour, which means you can spend as much time as you would like. There is no need to make a reservation. The Cave of the Winds closes during winter, so make sure it’s open before visiting.

The Little Mermaid

The little Mermaid is a statue in Copenhagen, Denmark. It sits on a rock in the harbor. It was inspired by a performance of a ballet based on the fairy tale The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen. And there are many tourists taking photos with the Little Mermaid every year.

The Taj Mahal

As one of the Seven Wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of India. It is considered as the finest example of Mughal architecture, a mix of Indian, Persian and Islamic styles.

Xi’an is regarded as a “Living History Museum” because of its rich, diverse collection of historical and cultural treasures. Besides the Terracotta Warriors, there are also some other attractions in the city. Here are some of them.

Ancient City Wall

Xi’an City Wall was built in the 14th century in the Ming Dynasty as a military defense system. Now it is one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls. The wall is now a landmark, dividing the city into inner and outer areas.

Giant Wild Goose Pagoda ()

Situated in an ancient temple, the pagoda with layers of bricks was built in the Tang Dynasty. 1t is traditional Chinese architecture. One of the main functions of the pagoda was to store Buddhist scriptures (经文) and figurines brought to China from India by the famous monk and traveler Xuan Zang, who stayed here for 19 years translating Buddhist scriptures.

Shaanxi History Museum

The Shaanxi History Museum, built in 1991, is home to over 370,000 precious relics unearthed in Shaanxi over the years. The museum consists of three main sections. Its collections range from bronze ware (器皿) to pottery ware, gold and silver ware and mural (壁画) paintings from the Tang Dynasty tombs.

The Muslim Quarter

One of the highlights is its local snacks when you tour Xi’an. The best food destination is the Muslim Quarter,which has a history of several hundred years. Consisting of a number of food streets, the area has become a famous attraction in the city for its rich and authentic Muslim cultural atmosphere.

The Best Time To Visit
During winter hours, the quietest time to visit is on weekdays or prior to 12 a.m. or after 2 p.m. During summer hours, the quietest time to visit is prior to 11 a.m. or after 4 p.m. Check the show schedule.
Members' Hours
Members are able to visit the Aquarium an unlimited number of times during Regular Hours of Operation-- 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Members’ Early Openings: During non-holiday weekends (Saturday and Sunday), our doors will open for members at 9:30 a.m.—30 minutes before we open to the public.
Super Saturdays: On every second Saturday of each month, the Vancouver Aquarium holds Super Saturday for our members. This is an opportunity to visit the Aquarium without line-ups, and instead enjoy quiet galleries and specialty programming. We open our doors at 8:30 a.m. for this special members-only event.
