Super-dad Alan Lawrence, a photographer from Utah, has posted some amazing photos of his son flying in the air.

Lawrence says his two-year-old son Wil was born with a terrible disease—Down Syndrome, ____ Lawrence is determined that this won’t hold him ____ in life.

When Wil was little, he would lie on his stomach and ____ his arms and legs like he was flying. “It wasn’t something any of my other kids did. My family would always ____ that he was trying so hard that one day he would start ____,” Lawrence told USA TODAY Network.

He decided to make Wil’s flight a ____ by using Photoshop to create images of Wil hovering ____ places the family had visited.

The series of photos, called Wil Can Fly, is part of a 2016 calendar, with half the earnings from sales donated to two Down Syndrome funds. “The series ____ a reminder that people with Down Syndrome can do ____ they set their minds to,” Lawrence says.

Though appearing happy, Alan admitted that he and his wife didn’t always feel so ____. “After the doctor informed us that he had Down Syndrome, we had ____. We weren’t quite sure what the future held for our family; we were ____ and knew very little about what to expect.”

However, these fears soon disappeared once Wil was born. Alan explains: “In the short two years since he ____, he has helped our family grow in ways we didn’t realize. Our family with Wil is happy.”

And now they’re on their way to ____ this love and knowledge, saying: “We want to show the world that you can have a ____ life with a child with Down Syndrome.”

Our church in Toronto has a way of helping those who are short of money. Money is dropped into an offering box with only the name of the ________ on the envelope (信封).

There came a time when my husband and I were among those ________ . We did not talk about our ________ with anyone, including our ________ . We did not want to make them ________ about the problem.

Our situation wasn’t ________ , and my husband and I knew that we would have to look for outside help. Just as we were almost ________ , our church gave us a gift envelope. We were overjoyed to receive the money, enough to ________ that hard time. We couldn’t help but wonder who had given such a generous gift.

A year later, our seventeen-year-old son was ________ a student loan (贷款) to attend university. His father and I were very ________ by this. We had ________ him to save some money for his university from his part-time job and he had already had enough money. I asked him repeatedly where the money had ________ . At first he would not tell me. Finally, my son ________ that the year before he had put his savings in the offering box for his father and me.

I stood there speechless, tears filling my eyes. It had taken my son ________ to save that money. He had given it to us ________ — without telling us what he had done.

My parents ran a small restaurant in Seattle. It was open twenty-four hours a day, six days a week. And my first real job, when I was six years old, was ______ the diners’ shoes. My father had done it when he was young, so he taught me ______ to do it well, telling me to ______ to shine the shoes again if the customer wasn’t ______.

I was proud of working in the restaurant ______ I was also working for the good of the family. But my father ______ said that I had to meet certain standards to be part of the team. I ______ to be on time, hard-working, and polite to the ______. I was ______ paid for the work I did at the restaurant. One day I made the mistake of suggesting to Dad that he ______ give me $10 a week. He said, “OK. How about you paying me for three meals a day you have here? I remember returning to Seattle after being ______ in the US Army for about two years. I had just been promoted to Captain at that time.
