International Women’s Day gives us all the chances to take a look at how much women have achieved. Show your solidarity (团结) and celebrate with one of our suggestions below:

Attend a festival that will inspire and entertain people. Famous female artists, writers and activists, including Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, will unite for the annual Women of the World Festival. Together they will celebrate the influence and achievements of women in a festival that will prove inspiring and uplifting.

Join Harper’s Bazaar for an evening of feminist celebrations. Celebrate International Women’s Day with Bazaar’s editor­in­chief Justine Picardie and a host of inspirational female guest speakers, including artist Gillian Wearing, creator of the Millicent Fawcett statue in Parliament Square, and Detective Superintendent Tor Garnett, the co­founder of Police Now.

Be entertained while eating cakes and drinking champagne (香槟). To celebrate International Women’s Day, a fund­raising charity Future Dreams is hosting a Ladies Afternoon Tea at The Arts Club on 8 March. The event, which will include live entertainment as well as sandwiches, cakes and champagne, is supported by The Estee Lauder Companies UK & Ireland’s Breast Cancer Campaign. Among the speakers on the day will be Bazaar’s own editor­in­chief, Justine Picardie.

Celebrate with a themed, late night dinner and dancing. For an alternative (代替的) way to mark IWD, head to Tel Aviv­inspired restaurant Bala Baya where guests will be treated to a special, late night menu with wine and cocktails based on a wonder Woman theme. Expect delicious sharing dishes in a lively environment — think of it as a party with excellent food. Afterwards, a DJ will start an evening of dancing that will go on until 4 am. Bring your comfortable shoes.
