I’ve had my fair share of travelling around China, and a recent week-long trip to Guizhou was my first time to the province. I tried looking up the meaning and significance of the name Guizhou before the trip, 【小题1】 (basic)to have a reasonable idea of what was in store for me. Compared to other leading 【小题8】 (province)in China, with regard 【小题9】 development, Guizhou has some catching-up to do. However, the province remains unique not only for its amazing landscape, 【小题10】 for the role it played in the political history of modern China and the role it is to play in the world.

I paid a visit 【小题1】 Cambridge last January. Though the trip took me 5 hours and it rained the whole day with strong winds, the town deserved a visit.

The bus started at 6:10 am. It stopped at 4 stops before we finally arrived, 【小题2】 wasted more time than we had expected. 【小题3】(tire) with long time of sitting, one passenger stood up to relax his numb (麻木的) legs. The driver asked him to sit down but in vain. So he pulled up and said 【小题4】 (serious), "You either get off or sit down." To him, 【小题5】 (safe) was the first policy.

Cambridge consists of nearly thirty colleges. The 【小题6】 (old) part of the university was built in the 13th century 【小题7】 the newest was founded in the mid-1960s. The number of the students 【小题8】(be) so great that many students live in lodgings（出租房）and move into college for their final year.

The heart of Cambridge has shops, pubs, and supermarkets, but most of it is university colleges, departments, libraries and other places for university staff and students. Students fill the shops, cafes, banks and churches, 【小题9】 (make) them as well part of the university.

With over 10,000 undergraduates and postgraduates, the town is a busy place indeed. Students here are not allowed 【小题10】 (keep) cars. If you happen to be walking in the street during a break, you'd better stop for a moment to avoid the sea of bicycles hurrying in all directions, which carry students from one college or a lecture room to another.

Last month, I went to China to travel. While 【小题1】 (do) some research about the trip, I discovered that Chengdu had the pandas, so I decided to go there.

On my sixth day, I finally had a chance 【小题2】 (visit) the pandas! I didn’t go to the famous panda reservation in Wolong, but to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding directly, which is much 【小题3】 (close), because I had heard that people might not see the pandas in Wolong but I wanted to be sure to see these cute fellows. At 7:30 a.m. I 【小题4】 (join)a group of five fellow panda 【小题5】 (fan) and we set off. My friends, 【小题6】 had visited the pandas before, told me about 【小题7】 active the pandas were, always playing around. However, all we saw them doing was sleeping and eating. I thought they must be tired, because most of them 【小题8】 (bare) moved. A few minutes later, a 【小题9】 (sleep) panda came down 【小题10】 his tree house to the ground. He was absolutely lovable.
