During the process of learning English, we students are bound to run across a variety of difficulties. When I was in senior high school, vocabulary was the biggest headache for me. There were always a sea of new words for me to cope with. Apparently, I couldn’t interpret the hidden meaning of a complex sentence, much less a well-written text. Worse still, I couldn’t memorize the new words.

Try to guess the words in context. When you see an unfamiliar word, do not skip over it impatiently. Try to puzzle out its possible meaning in the context of the sentence, then look it up in the dictionary and confirm its definition.
As for memorizing the words, figure out the spelling rules and classify them in chunks.
Learning is endless. To be a lifelong learner definitely requires a lot.
