First things first, this treehouse is exactly what its name suggests, a flower-friendly outdoor paradise. For $250 a night, this rental comes with a seasonally available garden tour for you and up to three more guests — all over the age of 21, of course.

This staycation spot in the South is a great way to be immersed in nature while enjoying the comfort of a cozy home. It’s only two acres of land and nearly 20 minutes away from a nearby city Tyron, North Carolina and 10 minutes away from Downtown Landrum. It holds up to 4 guests and will cost you around $265 a night before taxes.

This neat getaway houses two guests and is located near a quiet area in central Vermont, in the wilderness of the Green Mountain National Forest in three trees above high ground. And during your stay, you can arrange on in-house massage (按摩) therapist, so you’ll likely never want to return home. A night at the Sugar Maple for you and a guest sits at about $159.

This next one is a bit of a luxury stay. At $800 a night for you and 5 others, the “Peaceful Treehouse With Ocean View” is bound lo lake your breath away. This house in the trees is full of floor-to-ceiling windows and slide doors inspired by Japanese screens.

Colorful Natural Wonders on Earth

The world can be kind of a boring place without the colorful natural wonders. So that’s what I’ve decided to treat you to!

Rising in the Sierra de Huelva mountains of southwestern Spain, this 62-mile river gets its stunning orange and red colors from copper, iron, and other heavy metals. The best way to enjoy the beauty is by visiting the small mining town of Nerva. Note that only about half the length of the river features these colors.

Known by Stoney Nakota First Nations folks as Ho-run-num-nay, this glacial lake located in Banff National Park gets its turquoise color from finely grained rock particles contained within the ice as it melts in the lake. If you’re a big fan of the movie Thelma & Louise, you’ll be happy to know that there also happens to be a Lake Thelma.

Provence, a geographical region of southeastern France is famous in the summers for its lush lavender fields. To see them with your own eyes, mosey on up to the Luberon and Verdon plateau regions north of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, or head east past Avignon. But the window is rather brief; they start to blossom around the beginning of June and then by mid-July they’re done-zo.

Huge rice stan? Anyway, Yunnan, China is calling your name. With a history going back more than 1,200 years, this series of rice-growing terraces — covering territory more than one million acres — are located in the western part of the country. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. It sure took them long enough!

The Huaqing Palace Heritage Site

Star Pool

It was built in 644 A.D. for Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). It is said that at first there was no cover for the pool so that he could enjoy the shining stars of the night while taking a bath.

Tang Well

It has a long history of over 1,300 years and measures 1.9 meters long, 1.26 meters wide and 8.3meters deep. It was used just by Yang Yuhuan for drinking water.

Huaqing Hot Springs

They were named “The Fi Hot Springs in the World” in the Tang Dynasty by Emperor Xuanzong.

The water temperature stays at 43℃ all year round. It was first used as an imperial pool during the Zhou Dynasty (1036B.C.-256 B.C.).

Imperial Concubine Pool (贵妃池)

It was built in 747A.D. for the famous beauty Yang Yuhuan. It takes the shape of a Chinese crabapple (海棠) flower, and is where Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Yuhuan took baths together every winter.
