When Suki heard she was to be laid off, her first reaction was fear for what it could mean for her career. “I was initially scared because I 【小题1】 (see) layoffs happening all across the tech industry, so I worried I wouldn’t be able to find another job.”

I work as a meteorologist(气象学家)now in Florida. It's my job to follow hurricanes and provide information about them to scientists. The Life of a Food Critic

You’ve seen restaurant reviews in newspapers, in magazines or on the Internet. You’ve read those reviews when you wanted to know about the quality and price of the food at a new restaurant. But who writes the articles? Who gets paid to eat? Those lucky people are food critics.

Food critics are journalists who eat at restaurants and write reviews that give readers the feeling 【小题1】 they have visited the restaurant themselves. The articles almost always include a description of the restaurant, the menu, prices and services, but a food critic’s main task is 【小题2】 (write) about the food.
