Last week , my friends and I got together to eat delicious Asian chicken wings in our college. After dinner, I 【小题1】 (notice) that my friend Tom didn't want to leave and it seemed as if he needed 【小题2】 (we) company at that time.Earlier that night during dinner , he had said his secondyear in college was really rough，【小题3】 l asked him about his experience again.This time the floodgates of emotions opened. Another friend and I were ready 【小题5】 (leave) , but we decided to stay and listen to Tom.We spent another 30 minutes 【小题6】 (listen) to his story of pressure， 【小题7】 (anxious) and depression.

After our talk , Tom felt 【小题8】 (thank) because we spent time with him and lent an ear.This experience showed me how being attentive and caring about others can 【小题9】 (true) make their day. It doesn't have to be 【小题10】 nice gift. Taking time to listen and care may be the best gift.

A best friend is someone 【小题1】you can tell everything to，even your most 【小题2】(person)feelings and thoughts.Anne Frank treated her diary 【小题3】her best friend.The German Nazis were in search of Anne and her family.The family had to hide away from the chase.They did not dare 【小题4】(go)out even in the evening. 【小题5】had to stay indoors day and night.Not 【小题6】(be)able to go out for such a long time，Anne missed the beauty of nature so much that she grew crazy about everything to do with 【小题7】.She stayed up until eleven thirty one evening on purpose just to see 【小题8】 moonlight.She said，“This is the first time I have seen the moonlight 【小题9】I came here.”

I am now on my year abroad in   【小题1】 (German) as part of my university course. At the beginning of my time here, I had the chance to meet so many new people and make lots of new friends. It is almost like 【小题2】 (start) a new life and can make you feel nervous and 【小题3】 (lone) at first. But I knew that when I moved to this country I had to be open and friendly. This is certainly what I have done since moving here and I have made some great friends along the way.

Next week a friend of   【小题4】 (I) is moving to Spain for the next part of her year abroad. She will be living near a beach and have a lot of fun. But I am also   【小题5】 (concern) about her as she will have to start a new life in another new country. She said that she 【小题6】 (want) to go back in time very much.

In order 【小题7】 (say) goodbye to her, a group of friends and I had a surprise party. We made her a scrapbook with photos and memories of her time here so 【小题8】 she could take it along! We hope that she has 【小题9】 wonderful time in Spain and that she will get along well 【小题10】 her new classmates and settle into her new home.
