It was Mother's Day morning last year. My five­year­old son, Tenyson, and I 【小题1】 (leave)the supermarket after shopping when an old woman fell over at the entrance and hit her head on the ground. Her husband was with her, but the woman was 【小题2】   (serious) hurt and shaking with pain.

Instead I gave the flower to the woman's husband 【小题8】   told him, “ My son was very upset for your wife and bought her this flower to cheer her up.”

At that, the old man was moved and said, “Thank you so much, you have a good son. Happy Mother's Day to you.”

The man then gave his wife the flower, 【小题9】 (tell) her who it was from. 【小题10】   badly hurt, the old lady looked up at Tenyson with thanks in her eyes and gave him a little smile.

Getting around the city when you are six months pregnant and have a two-year-old girl can be really challenging. One spring afternoon，we went to one of the grocery 【小题1】（store）nearby to buy some food for dinner. There was no sign of rain，and the store was just around the corner，【小题2】 we went there without an umbrella. However，we were about 【小题3】（leave）the store when the rain came in full force. Students of a Nanjing senior high school brought joy to the elderly and brightened up their day by 【小题1】 (volunteer) at a local nursing home last weekend. The nursing home, 【小题2】 (locate) on a housing estate, has more than 150 senior citizens, some of 【小题3】 are over 90 years old.
