There are roughly 650 airparks around the world. So why do so few people know they exist? The streets are wide enough to fit the wings of a light aircraft, about 100 feet in 【小题8】(wide). The China-Laos Railway, 【小题1】 connects Kunming in southwest China’s Yunnan Province with the Laotian capital, Vientiane, 【小题2】 (start) operation on Dec 3. 2021. The 1035-kilometer-long railway is a landmark project and an important part of the Pan-Asian railway network. It will not only benefit the two peoples, but also 【小题3】 (significant) improve regional connectivity.

【小题4】 (locate) southwest of China, Laos is the only landlocked country in Southeast Asia and mainly depends on road, water and air transport for the movement of people and goods. It has long been a dream for the Lao people to see their country change from a land-locked country 【小题5】 a “land-linked one”, and the opening of the new railway is a big step toward turning 【小题6】 (they) dream into reality.

The new railway will improve Laos’ transportation and promote its tourism as well as agricultural processing industries. It will also enable Lao businesses to 【小题7】 (well) fit into regional and global supply chains.

China and Laos have stood together through thick and thin and engaged in mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of equality. Besides, China and Laos were the first 【小题8】 (sign) an agreement based on the Belt and Road Initiative. The opening of the China-Laos Railway will thus help speed the 【小题9】 (develop) of the China-Laos Economic Corridor, and will further advance the building of a China-Laos community with 【小题10】 shared future.

It's commonly believed that texting while driving causes distraction（分心）and leads to car accidents. If you see a taxi driver sending 【小题1】 text message, you would probably get out of the car 【小题2】 (immediate).

A recent study, Root for Safety, surveyed 22,002 adults in the United States and 【小题5】 (find) that 80 percent of US drivers admit 【小题6】 (use) a mobile device while driving. Twenty percent of the 【小题7】 (interview) said they can't drive for 30 minutes【小题8】 checking their phones. One 【小题9】 ten drivers even admitted to online shopping while driving, according to the survey.

The researchers want to build awareness of the prevalence（普遍）of distracted driving behaviour. According to Joe Platternburg, Root Insurance's Director of Telematics, "distracted driving is a problem we must address 【小题10】 we're going to keep our roads safe."
