Don't miss our new summer classes, which are available during May 23—Aug 5

●Swimming lessons: Age4—adult. Cost: $5 per class or $15 for one month.

●Hiking: Have a park keeper hike with you through our paths and teach you about the park's wildlife and plants. The park is a perfect spot for hiking.

●Soccer: Our youth soccer program is unusual and non-competitive. Different teams are formed every day. The focus is on each player learning to work as a team, not on one team winning it at all.

●Boating: These classes are only for 20-year-olds and above. Fishing is only allowed with a permit.

●Bicycling: We have special paths built for bicyclists. Signs are posted for self-guided tours of our park.

Group cycling is also available with a park guide. Paths range from easy to challenging.

A message from the director:

Hiking paths! Sports fields! Playgrounds! Campgrounds! Fun activities! The Stake Park offers something for everyone. We have a number of plants and animals, which are in danger of dying out, being protected in our park. Sign up for one of our new summer community classes, or take a camping trip with your friends or family. Our facilities are set up with modern systems, so you don't have to suffer to enjoy nature—unless you want to!

Experience being a park keeper:

Are you 13-17 years old? Ever wonder what it would be like to be a park keeper? It's a competitive field, but you can get ahead by volunteering with our Teen Keeper Program. Depending on your age and responsibilities, you can even earn college credits for certain universities!

Occasions like anniversaries, weddings and reunions call for special event venues (场地). The following places may have a way out. There's no need to spend money creating atmosphere at special event venues. It's built right in!

Business Expo Center

The Business Expo Center is Orange County's important event venue in Anaheim, California. Our flexible 36,000-square-foot expo center is home to space for conferences, trade shows and celebrations. We pride ourselves on providing a memorable experience with excellent flexibility, services, and cost savings. We won't charge customers for on-site parking and provide high-speed Wi-Fi.

Automobile Driving Museum

Centrally located in the South Bay beach community of EL Segundo, California, the ADM offers a wonderful venue for private parties and corporate events. Conveniently located 5 minutes south of LAX, right off the 405 and 105 Freeways, the 610 Lairport space has a special feel surrounded by our primary automobile collection. We offer several different venues inside and outside our facility for diverse events. To better our service, reservations are needed.

Yamashiro Hollywood

Yamashiro Hollywood is a restaurant and therefore, all food and wine must be handled in house. However, guests are allowed to bring in outside wine and champagne for a corkage fee (开瓶费).

How cool can libraries be in an era of iPads and Kindles? More than you think, if you know where to go.

Trinity College Library: Dublin, Ireland

Old, yes. Boring, no. It is the oldest library in Ireland, founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. Not only is the outside impressive, it boasts the largest single room library in the world, also known as the Long Room, which contains more than 200,000 of the library’s oldest books.

Geisel Library, University of California: San Diego, U. S.

Named after Geisel and designed in the late 1960s, San Diego’s Geisel Library is one of the most modern library buildings in the world. At first glance, it looks like a spaceship.

But of course, it’s not just the outside that’s interesting. The library also hosts “Dinner in the Library,” which invites readers for cocktails and also a special speech from excellent authors.

TU Delft Library: The Netherlands

The library was constructed in 1997 and has more than 862,000 books and its own museum. The building itself exists beneath the ground, so you can’t really see the actual library. What makes it interesting is the roof, which is a grassy hill. The roof covers 5,500 square meters and has become one of the most striking and greenest structures in the area.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Alexandria, Egypt

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is the revival of the ancient Royal Library of Alexandria, which was the largest and most influential library in the Greek world. It was built by Alexander the Great some 2,300 years ago. The new library was reborn in 2002 after 10 years of designing, planning and construction. With its rounded yet tilting(倾斜) form, the library looks like a modern painting.
