With my homework finishing last Sunday, I went to countryside to see my grandfather. At about 9, I set off and arrived at my home after an hour. Saw me, he felt very excited and welcomed me warmly. I handed him the fresh fruit bought in the supermarket and he gave me some snacks. Then we went to catch fish. It was not long before we catch a lot of fish. Having brought them to home, my grandfather cooked some for me. After lunch, I helped him cleaning the house and he praised me with a big smile in his face. When it was time for me to leave, my grandfather gave me some gifts what I liked very much, and hugged me. It was so beautifully a day that I will remember it forever.

My grandfather was the Chinese traditional literature lover. He seemed to know everything about it. I used to be take to bookstores, what we would stay for hours. However, I fell in love with books as a little kid and found that very interesting to read stories. I especial liked Sun Wukong, a romantic figure of brave and adventure. Now I realize that without my grandfather, I wouldn't formed the habit of reading. Long after graduating from high school, but I have already decided to choose Chinese literature as my major.

Yesterday was my 18th birthday. As Father and Mother thought it was a big occasion for me, they suggested I held a birthday party at home to celebrate it. By 4 o'clock I was pleased to see all my friends had come with a lot of beautiful present. Mother cooked a big meal. They spent a wonderful night together, eating and talking happily. The most excited moment was when Mother put a big birthday cake on the table and all my friends begin to sing Happy Birthday. Saw the 18candles burning, I couldn't keep back my tears. Without Mother and Father's love, I wouldn't be leading so a happy life now. Mother asked me make a wish before I blew out all the candles. After that, everyone enjoyed the sweet birthday cake and shared with my happiness. I am eighteen years old now, it means I've become an adult and have more responsibility. I'll do my best to return my parents' love and live up to their expectations.
