Welcome to the National Museum of China (NMC). Please enter the North Gate with your ID card after security check. You can visit NMC exhibitions free of charge during the opening hours.

A paid special exhibition is suggested in the Ticket Office, at the counter of the West Hall and on NMC’s official website, and its tickets are sold at the entrance of the related exhibition hall.

Identity document: ID card, student ID card, passport, Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents, driving license.

Children: A child not higher than 1.3 m who is attended by an adult may enter without a ticket; a primary school student with his/her parents may enter with his/her student ID card.

Opening Hours: 9:00 am-5:00 pm

Last admission at 4:30 pm, closed at 5:00 pm

Closed on Mondays (including the Mondays of public holidays)

Notice to Visitors:

Please collect a free ticket with an identity document mentioned above at the Ticket Office.

Food and drinks will be inspected to be brought in.

Luggage shall be deposited (寄存) after security check before visiting.

Controlled knives, lighters, dangerous articles, and pets are not allowed.

Please keep your voice down and silence your mobile phone.

No smoking.

Please do not touch the objects on display.

You are kindly reminded not to use flashlight. If photo-taking is not permitted, obvious reminders will be put both at the entrance of and inside the exhibition hall; you should pay attention to such reminders.

The Best Hiking Near New York City

If you want to go hiking near New York City, you’re in luck. These trails can met your needs.

Ice Caves and Verkeerderkill Falls Trail Hike

Along the seven-mile tail, you get to get through the passages of the Ice Caves and walk past Verkeerderkill Falls. The trail is the highest waterfall trail in the Shawangunks. Take the Short Line bus from New York to nearby Ellenville and then take a 14-minute taxi ride to Sam’s Point Preserve.

Yellow Trail at Mount Beacon

Take NJ Transit bus route 196 or 197 to Warwick, New York, and it’s just a 10-minute taxi ride to the beginning of the trail.

Camp Smith Trail

This three and-a-half-mile hike is great for a day trip by yourself. With fairly easy landform (地形), even your four-legged friend can join you on the trail. Take the Metro-North Hudson Line to Peekskill Station for free buses or trains to the Bear Mountain Inn. And you can hike up to see unbelievable Hudson Valley view.
