100 Great Black Britons is part of the history and our society.This is a fantastic way to attract, encourage and improve pupils and young people to understand and diversity of Britain.

Schools were encouraged lo gel involved by developing some exciting ideas which not only support their work for Black History Month but also provide a (投入) into lesson plans of the contribution of Black People in Britain over years.

100 Great Black Britons ran from 1st Oct 2020 to 1st Jan 2021. The competition was open to all subject areas. Teachers will find that it opens up a unique, refreshing and authentic way of teaching and learning.

TASK：

Schools are to research, and vote or celebrate for their 100 Great Black Britons @ www. 100 greatblackbritons. com. They are then to submit their votes in a creative form. They had to consider exploring the various categories to develop ideas and themes.

Here are just some ideas for each Key Stage：

KS1: Collage, jigsaw and song

KS2: Wordsearch, poem, dance and story

KS3: Drama, animated computer story, assembly presentation

KS4: Debate, poem, interviews, poll/survey, design own website

But we suggest that they improve a session in which pupils can brainstorm and come up with their own creative ideas. They can use the notice board to share ideas and experiences and gain knowledge of the issues raised about 100 Great Black Britons with other members.

Prizes of black/multicultural educational resources (books, games, software packages) will be awarded in the following categories with the following value：

The 2022 Winter Olympic, also known as Beijing 2022, is scheduled to take place from February 4 to February 20, 2022, which is in the Chinese New Year period. Beijing, the first city to host both the summer and winter Olympics, is partnering with Zhangjiakou to host the winter games.

Events

A total of 109 events are set to take place in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Seven new events have been added, including ski jumping mixed team, snowboard cross mixed team and short track speed skating team relay. For the first time, a female athletes percentage of over 45.44% to attend the winter games has been reached, making Beijing 2022 probably the most gender-balanced Winter Olympics to date.

Tickets

On Sep. 30, the International Olympic Committee announced that tickets will be sold exclusively to those living in China’s mainland. Ticket booking hasn’t yet started. According to the report sent to IOC, there would be three types of tickets, tickets for the opening ceremony, tickets for events competitions, and tickets for the closing ceremony, costing from 50 to 4,882 CNY per ticket. The highest ticket prices are for the opening and closing ceremonies, from 732 to 4,882 CNY. Tickets for popular events are about 149 to 1,464 CNY, and tickets for general events are around 50 to 490 CNY.

②Tech-heads hate the iPad because it has many functions—you can e-mail, browse the Web, read books—but it has no specialty.There are other devices on the market that do all its functions faster, cheaper and more efficiently.Get a Blackberry to scan e-mails or any old laptop to access the Internet.

③This first version of the iPad lacks many basic features.Tech-heads dislike the device not because of what it offers, but because of what it doesn’t offer.It doesn’t have Flash, and it doesn’t have a camera.It can’t access many of the world’s mobile applications, and it has a very restricted apple store.Based on purely technological grounds, the iPad is said to lack more than it gives.

④But if you are not a crazy tech-head, and you love the iPod and iPhone, “this device is for you,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.The iPad will take online activities truly mobile.It will allow you to read the news in bed, check a recipe in a busy kitchen or view a large-scale Google map.

⑤Perhaps most important to the masses, it is a traditional computer without trouble.There are wireless, but it’s totally mobile.You press a button and it comes on in seconds.To add a program, you just download it from the Internet.Since almost everyone uses a computer in the office or at school, the need for the traditional desktop model at home is disappearing.Slate Magazine’s Farhad Manjoo calls the iPad the perfect alternative to the home computer system.

⑥But no matter how you feel about the iPad, as a tech-head or an everyman, there’s no arguing with its appeal.Love it or hate it, the iPad sold over 600,000 units on its opening weekend, surpassing the iPhone’s record sales in 2007.
