Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival

Every June people get together in Wisconsin,USA, to honor cheese (奶酪).The celebration lasts three days and it's full of different events for the whole family. There are concerts, free cheese tasting, the Big Cheese Parade and Big Cheese Breakfast, etc.

La Tomatina

Every August, Buiol, Spain, hosts a festival where the world’s biggest hour-long food fight takes place. Around 20,000 people take part in the event, throwing over a hundred tons of tomatoes at each other in all. What a juiced-up celebration!

Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival

The Monkey Buffet Festival is on the last Sunday of November. It is a great day for monkeys in Thailand. People there think monkeys can bring good luck to them. So, to thank monkeys, they have this special festival to feed them.

Sweet Bee’s Honey Festival & Country Fair 2020

Sweet Bee’s Honey Festival & Country Fair is a fun and delicious way to celebrate the incredible work of the honeybee on June 14.

Your ticket to Sweet Bee’s Honey Festival & Country Fair includes:

A “Late Day Special” ticket is available online for just $10/person (all ages, 4 and up) for the last two hours of the Honey Festival between 3 pm and 5 pm when crowds are typically smaller and the atmosphere is more relaxing. Most vendors (摊贩) still have plenty of goods, and plenty of products are typically available for purchase during this later part of the day. “Late Day Special” tickets purchased at the door are $16/person (all ages, 4 and up).

Please note that “Late Day Special” ticket holders will NOT be admitted before 3 pm.

Parking: There is free parking onsite at Museum Village. Free shuttle buses will be available, and there is also a walkway from Lot B to the Museum.

Do you know that November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)? You can find the NaNoWriMo Young Writer’s program at ywp.nanowrima.org. It is a challenge(挑战)to write a 50,000-word novel in one month.

The program began in 1999 in San Francisco with only 21 members. Later year, more than 400,000 took up the challenge. The writers can choose what they want to write about. On November 1st, writers visit the website and start to update(更新)their word count. They can communicate with other writers there as well. All the writers have to stop writing on November 30th.

It is okay if you have never written a book before. The website provides lesson plans and workbooks for beginners. You can use them to improve writing skills in your novel. Then you can start planning what your novel will be about.

Children can listen to stories and watch illustrators (插画家) draw pictures.

The Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival

Music lovers come to this festival to enjoy music shows around the city. One of the highlights (精彩部分) of this musical event is the street carnival (嘉年华), which is free to all. Artists perform street theatre, dance and circus (马戏团) shows in amazing costumes, and everyone can join in the dancing.
