Polytechnic Museum, Russia

NEMO, the Netherlands

The largest Dutch research centre stands ready to share its secrets with everyone. This immersion (沉没) in the world of science and technology will not be dull. All significant information is presented in the form of exciting games. All exhibits are interactive; visitors are allowed to touch, pull and press on anything. The museum is for children from 6 to 16, as well as for their parent - it will be interesting to all.

This wonderful bookshop that opened in 2003 comes from the smart people of the London Review of Books. As you’d expect, there is an excellent selection of history, philosophy, politics, new fiction and many other sorts here. Maker Space

Service and Location

The Maker Space is located in the lower level of the Powers Memorial Library towards the north side of the building. The purpose of the area is to provide open access to information and various new technologies to enhance professional, personal and educational goals for all ages. It is a place to gain hands-on experience, knowledge and skills and to make stuff!

Opening Hours

Currently the Maker Space is open every Wednesday afternoon from 4:00-7:00 p. m. These hours may vary during the summertime.

Conditions of Use

• Everyone with a valid library card is welcome to use and visit the Maker Space at no charge. To use the Maker Space, all must read and sign the Maker Space policy, stating that they will obey the rules and regulations of this policy.

• All equipment in the Maker Space is on a first come, first served basis; however, reservation may be made of specific equipment in advance. Use is limited for two hours per day per person, unless advance approval is arranged with the Library Director. Reservations can be made in person at the library or by calling the Main Circulation Desk:(262)495-4605.

Equipment Safety Use

• In order to use specific equipment or to participate in any project using this equipment, the user must complete the Equipment Use and Safety Certification Class. Any use of materials without certification can result in suspension or permanent ban from the Maker Space.

Fees for Equipment

3 D Printer: The current cost for use of the 3 D printer is$0.5 per 30 minutes run time.

Pali Overnight Adventures offers children and teens exciting experiences this summer. From broadcasting to street art, these are just 4 of the 17 highly unique camps being offered.

Broadcasting Camp

Become the next star reporter, news writer, director or producer. While running every aspect of our own news station, kids and their fellow campers will create and host a broadcast airing each night at dinner for the entire camp. Every night it goes on the web, keeping parents and the world informed of the happenings at Pali.

Secret Agent Camp

In the movie Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise made being a secret agent seem like the coolest job ever. Campers who sign up for the 2-week secret agent camp can get to know about the life of real secret agents by learning strategies and military skills on the paintball field.

Culinary Camp

If your child enjoys being in the kitchen, then the culinary camp is definitely the right fit. Campers learn technical skills of roasting, frying and cutting, as well as some recipes that they can take home and share with their families.

Street Art Camp

This camp takes creative license to an entirely new level. Campers will share their colorful ideas and imagination with each other and work together to visualize, sketch and paint with non-traditional techniques to create the coolest mural which will be displayed in public for all to see.
