Day 1 Overview Edinburgh

It was in Scotland’s capital city that J. K. Rowling started to plot the adventures of Harry and his pals. With stoned streets, winding alleys and medieval (中世纪的) architecture, the city certainly has a few things in common with the settings from the books and films. She wrote the early chapters in various cafes around the city’s Old Towns.

Day 2 Overview travel to Fort William

Travel by train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. From there, you can take the West Highland Line toFort William. This is a great way to see some famous spots from the window, including the mysterious Rannoch Moor, the place where Death Eaters board the train in the movie Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.

Day 3 Overview all aboard the Hogwarts Express

Witness the sweeping cinematic scenery of the movie Harry Potter by booking a seat on the Jacobite Steam Train. Stop for lunch in Mallaig and then make the return journey to Fort William. Please be sure to book the steam train in advance, as it is exceedingly popular. By the way, it runs seasonally.

Day 4 Overview lakes and glens (峡谷)

In the films, mysterious, misty landscapes frame the background of Harry’s tale, so it’s no surprise that the film producers chose the Highlands for many scenes. Spend a day wandering through some of these beautiful spots and feel the magical atmosphere.

After many months stuck at home, we’re all dreaming of travelling somewhere exciting and stretching our legs. These are four amazing destinations for hiking.

For this one, come early and on a weekday. Devil’s Lake is one of the most popular state park, which requires a high climb but rewards hikers with its incredible views. In winter, get ready to hit the ski trails(路径), walk out on frozen lake and enjoy the quiet that winter offers. In warm months, be sure to get to the lake too. You can look for reflections of light on water and golden sunsets, and rent ferryboats from either shore.

This spot is about taking moments for silence and slowing down. Lots of people come here to escape crowds. You will firstly be attracted by its accessible nature. You might catch a sight of a big white goose, a wild duck, a black cuckoo, or hundreds of other birds that call this spot home.

Blue Mound State Park, which sits 1716 meters above sea level, is the highest point in the area. It’s enough to mean over 20miles of off-road single track and hiking trails. This trip gives you the opportunity to take in the incredible sight of Baraboo and experience the best of ancient mountain culture.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum is officially a national historic landmark — and that should tell you a lot. Wild plants are actually full of color and life, Exploring its 17-plus miles of trails takes you through nearly all of Wisconsin’s native ecosystems, like savannas, woodlands, and wetlands.

Holiday World

Family-run Holiday World has developed into one of the most successful regional theme parks in the US, offering unlimited free soft drinks, free parking, free sunscreen and free Wi-Fi. The park is divided into four lands, each themed around a different holiday. Understandably, given that the park is located in Santa Claus, Indiana, one of these is Christmas, with the others being Thanksgiving, Halloween and the Fourth of July.

LEGOLAND California

As one of a number of similar LEGOLAND theme parks located all over the world, LEGOLAND California was the first to open in the US. Located in Carlsbad not far from San Diego, it fits families with children aged 2-12. The park hosts a variety of attractions inspired by LEGO toys, along with a predictably large number of stores selling LEGO toys.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Belonging to one of the world’s leading movie studios, Universal Studios Hollywood features attractions showing the art of movie-making. The park is divided into three main sections—the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Upper and Lower Lots, including Jurassic Park, The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, The Ride and Transformer, etc. Visitors can explore those sections by themselves.

SeaWorld San Diego

SeaWorld San Diego offers the chain’s standard selection of live shows interactive animal exhibits and other theme park attractions. Located on Mission Bay, it combines thrilling rides with up-close-and-personal experiences, and also offers children’s favorite performances starring sea lions, dolphins and even cats and dogs.
