Desire, mental strength and willpower as strong as those of anyone who has ever played the game, that's what got Novak Djokovic over the line as he defeated his Austrian challenger, Dominic Thiem, on February 2 to win his eighth Australian Open crown. With the victory: Djokovic has brought his overall Grand Slam(大满贯) tally to 17.
“I'm blessed to hold this trophy once again,” Djokovic told the crowd after he extended his perfect record of winning all eight of his Australian Open finals, a win that helped him return to the world ranking of No.1.
Djokovic is the first man in the Open era and just the second (the other is Australian Ken Rosewall) to win a Grand Slam title in three different decades. When he won the title in Melbourne 12 months ago, Djokovic's first promise was that he would try everything to chase down Federer's Grand Slam record of 20. Having defeated Thiem, he will go to the French Open in May with the renewed belief that he can overtake both Federer and Nadal.
“It is my goal to win as many Grand Slam titles as possible at this stage in my career; that is what matters to me,” Djokovic said. “I would definitely want to play for many more years, focusing mostly on the Grand Slam tournaments. In order to have a chance for the historic No. 1, I am going to do everything possible this season and next season. That's what I can devote to this goal.”

Cameron Beck first started volunteering at the young age of 12. To his family, volunteering became part of life. The Becks would volunteer at the local food bank in California. Alongside his parents and sister, Cameron used to help select, organize, and pack food for the needy.
Today, Cameron spends every Saturday volunteering at Project Open Hand—a non- profit organization that mainly provides meals for sick neighbors and seniors. And it also allows these people to shop in its store.
Cameron first learned about Project Open Hand when he was working on Polk Street. As he passed the store on his way to and from work each day, Cameron became eager to learn more, and allowed his curiosity to fuel his passion.
Cameron quickly learned how Project Open Hand began with serving food to those living in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood—a neighborhood many low-income or disabled people live in.
“When I realized they've been doing this kind of work and it's providing extraordinary benefits for people in need—especially in the Tenderloin where fresh and quality food is hard to gain——I realized this was the organization I wanted to lend a hand to, "says Cameron.
Cameron really enjoys volunteering. “Through my day job, I serve the people in my city," says Cameron. “Sometimes, it can cause feelings of isolation, so volunteering really helps bring that social aspect into my life. ”
Cameron has one piece of advice for those who have never volunteered: find an organization that matches your passion and just get started. Organizations are always looking for volunteers," says Cameron. “And you'll learn about those opportunities once you open that door and reach out to the people. Just do something you love to do and enjoy doing it with others.

Like many others who are autistic (患自闭症的), Bobby Latheron has known for most of his life that there was something that made him different from his peers. As a child, he often preferred spending time with adults.
Throughout school, Bobby struggled. He suffered from panic attacks that would cause him to run out of the room crying, which made teachers view him as a “naughty child”. Then, at around 13 years old, he was officially diagnosed (诊断) with autism. But because autism was still so misunderstood, this didn’t improve his situation by much.
Still, Bobby persevered and made it to university. But after a while, he struggled academically here, too. Things were looking up when he switched to art, design, and photography, but he simply couldn’t do it. That’s when a kind teacher changed his life for the better.
“I was telling one of the music teachers about my life with autism—my relationships and my struggles,” Bobby tells InspireMore. “She said, ‘Why don’t you write a book about your life?’ So I did.”
This is how My World in My Words by Bobby Latheron came to be. When writing this book, Bobby remained incredibly focused. Finding the inspiration to write his first book has changed Bobby’s life in so many ways. He’s met others who are like himself, plus, he’s even managed to secure a job he loves. He’s even given multiple interviews for various news and radio stations. Best of all, this new direction in life has given Bobby the opportunity to help others like him to feel less alone and, in doing so, he’s proven to himself that he’s far more capable than he once believed.
“I’m not here to say it’s always been perfect and that I haven’t made mistakes,” Bobby tells InspireMore, “but you have to learn in life.”
