A couple of weeks ago, when some friends and I took a trip to Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, I immediately _______ it. Since we are all living in North Germany which is not very _______,it only took us a few hours on the train _______ we were at the heart of this _______ city. The minute we stepped off the _______, we were surrounded by _______ architecture and weaving canals.

We stayed at a youth hostel( 旅社),which was a typical tall Dutch house with lots of stairs. I _______ staying in youth hostel; it is such a great _______ to meet people from all over the world and _______ your different experiences and ________ We stayed in a room with an Argentinian, who we befriended right away, and we spent a lot of ________ together.

During our stay, we made sure to make the most of what Amsterdam has to ________ We took a boat trip through the ________, which gave us some great ________ of the fantastic architecture and canals. We also made sure to go to the Van Gogh Museum, which is one of the city's most famous tourist attractions, and consists of a ________ collection of his work, along with details of his ________ and the work of other artists that knew him. One of my favourite parts of the trip, though it was rather ________, was our visit to the Anne F rank Museum. She was a Jewish girl who hid with her family for 2 years before the Nazis ________ them and sent them to the death camps. It was a very ________ experience, and certainly worth seeing.

Overall, I think Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities that I have ever been to, and I would love to ________someday!

Recently we took a trip to the South of France. As my parents are both ________, they decided to take me along on their artist residency program, ________ in the charming city of Arles in the Provence region, which is famous as the town where Vincent van Gogh ________ some of his most famous works.

We ________ from Switzerland on a French train. It ran well and was ________, and we easily found taxis ________ outside the Arles train station. Our apartment was located on Rue de la Calade, a ________ street in the center of the city. It was ________—with stone floors, well-kept rooms, and friendly neighbors. Our first day in Arles was ________ walking around and just getting a feel of the area. We had ________ our apartment for three weeks!

The first day’s ________ we took outside of Arles was to St. Rémy, where van Gogh once ________ in a mental hospital while still painting some of his most beloved ________. Today you can visit all the places that he painted at although they aren’t as completely ________ as they used to be. St. Rémy is a beautiful little town, though—lots of places to ________.

My family and I took a day tour to the Camargue, a nearby nature ________, which is France’s wild west, our last week in Arles. We got the ________ we had booked through the Arles tourist office, which can sometimes be ________. The tour was, although a little long, beautiful in every way. If in the South of France, I ________ recommend visiting the Camargue.

So overall, Arles and the South of France is excellent. ________ stopping for some days!

Located in Ontario, Canada, the Niagara Falls is the seventh wonder of the world and the fastest flowing waterfall in the world. When I went to tour it, I found there were some truly amazing ways to _________ the waterfall.

One way was to take a _________ to the center of the Niagara Falls. Everyone on board was given a raincoat that looked more like a garbage bag. We would need it later on when we got close to the waterfall. There were huge waves and thick mist (迷雾), although we were still far away from Niagara Falls. Inside the mist, another boat approached us. As that boat _________, we waved hello to the blue-coated _________. After a while, we were as _________ as possible to the waterfall, which was like a wall in front of the boat. The _________ here was white with huge waves that threatened (有……危险) to _________ over the boat. The _________ was so deafening that I couldn’t even _________ the person next to me shouting. __________, the boat turned around to __________ back to the dock (码头). A few minutes was enough to make this a very exciting __________.

Another __________ was to go behind the waterfall. This adventure started with everybody walking into a wet and __________ tunnel (隧道)one by one. It was __________ by several lanterns, making us see the tunnel clearly. As the tunnel came to an end, I could see that we had __________ onto a platform at the foot of the waterfall. Here, I had a good __________ of how thick the waterfall was. It was at least one meter __________.

__________ I experienced Niagara Falls, I was shocked by how __________ it was. And I look forward to taking the zip line (滑索) next time to view Niagara Falls from the sky. It will definitely be a wonderful time, too.
