Duke Humfrey's Library

Duke Humfrey's Library, well known for its long history and luxurious collections, is one of the top 10 libraries in British. The library holds 6.12 million volumes. It has 44 service stations, with an average daily reception of 5,000 visitors. It also exchanges documents and literature works with Japan, the United States and Austria at irregular intervals (不定期地).

Liverpool Central Library

The library remains open every day.

Maughan Library

Maughan Library was founded in 1956 and rebuilt in 1993. It has 56,000 books, more than 1.000 bound volumes of newspaper, 5,000 bound volumes of journals, 120 English books from the old time and more than one TB of digital books. The library has three service stations, receiving more than 92,000 visitors every year.

Red Tourism Sites in Shanghai

Former Site of the Editorial Department of New Youth

Huangpu Wharf in Yangpu District was the place about 650 Chinese students who headed to France from March 1919 to December 1920 to further their studies. They included Zhou Enlai, later the first premier of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), and Deng Xiaoping, later the leader of the PRC.

The Memorial of the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China

The two-storied building was completed in 1920 as the residence of CPC founding member Li Hanjun. On July 23, 1921, thirteen members held their first national congress of the Communist Party of China here, marking the birth of the Party.

Youth Wildflower Art Contest

Have wildflowers ever inspired the inner artist in you? Shenandoah National Park’s annual Youth Wild flower Art Contest is coming again! This year’s artists can share their creativity by uploading their entries (参赛作品) online.

Who

The contest is open to all K-12 students (including home-schooled students) in the following counties (县):

Albemarle, Augusta, Greene, Madison, Page, Rappahannock, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren.

What

Each student may submit one piece of artwork. For the subjects of their artworks, artists must use wild flowers that are native to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Shenandoah National Park. To help you choose, we’ve put together a list of native wildflower species.

Submissions must be on flat media, and may include watercolor, pencil, fabric (织物), etc. Photographs, computer-generated, or computer-enhanced artworks will not be accepted. Works will be judged on the basis of original designs and artistic compositions.

When

We will kick off National Park Week with accepting submissions! You can submit your artwork from April16 through May 4. The winners will be notified after the judging process has been completed.

How

You can get started any time with your work! Participants will upload an image or scan of their art works online through Call for Entry website.

In order to upload your artwork, you must first sign up for a free Call for Entry account. After creating an account, you can upload your artwork. Detailed instructions for uploading artwork may be found on the website. Last, follow the instructions for applying to the contest and you’re all done.

Sundays to Thursdays, various locations and times Running can be a lonely old task. Sweat Shop's run clubs, held at branches across London, aim to make it a little more social. We’d recommend this for more experienced runners - the entry level distance is 5 kilometers - but a pace keeper at the back means you won’t be left behind. Ready to work up a good sweat?
