My teacher Mr. Bush is the most positive person I’ve ever met. He has the ability to ________ positiveness to young students.

He always smiles and never gets ________ at students. Once I met some ________ because I felt overshadowed by my brother, who seemed to be doing great in every way. Hopelessness ________ me whenever I was in a classroom. But that all ________ when I met my teacher for life, Mr. Bush. Having found out about my problems, he just kept ________ to help me out. Because of Mr. Bush, my world was filled with ________ and power.

A few weeks ago, everyone in my class was feeling a bit ________ because of a bad day at school. But things got ________ after a close of Mr. Bush’s class. He drew a picture on the whiteboard that ________ a half-full glass of water. He then said, “Class, the point of view in which you look at things will ________ your feelings. Like this glass of water: some people see it and think ‘What! Only half a glass of water. How ________ I am.’ Whereas other people think ‘Wow, I’m so thirsty. Great! Half a glass of water for me!’ It all is in the ________ you think.”

Sleeping in Class

I can still remember it as if it happened yesterday. I was a college freshman and had_________most of the night before laughing and talking with friends. Now just _______ my first class of the day my eyelids were feeling _______and my head was drifting down to my desk to make my textbook a _______. A few minutes’ nap time before class couldn’t_______, I thought.

Boom! I lifted my head immediately and my eyes opened wider than saucers. I looked around with my heart _________ quickly trying to find the cause of the _______. My young professor was looking back at me with a _______, boyish smile on his face. He had _________ dropped the pile of textbooks he was carrying onto Ms desk. “Good morning!” he said, still smiling. “I’m glad to see everyone is ________. Now let’s get started.”

For the next hour I wasn’t sleepy at all. It wasn’t from the shock of my professor’s textbook__________either. It was ________from the attractive discussion he led. With knowledge and good humor, he made the material come alive. His insights were full of both wisdom and loving kindness. I________the classroom not only wide awake, but a little ________and a little better as well.

I learned something far more important than ________ in class that day, too. I learned that if you are going to do something in this life, do it well, do it ________, and make it an ________ of your love. What a glorious place this world would be if all of us did our work joyously and well. What a beautiful world we could ________ if every doctor, teacher, musician, cook, waitress, poet, miner, farmer, and laborer made their work an expression of their love. A fifth grader at Shreve Elementary in Ohio created a Kindness Closet to help students in need.

Anderson “Andi” Musser said a friend told her that she ________   she had some girls’ clothing to wear to school.“I went to my ________ and got the clothes and shoes that don’t ________ me,” Andi told The Daily Record. “I gave them to her at school the next day.And she was really happy.” 

After ________ clothes to her friend,Andi couldn’t help thinking about how great it felt to help someone in need. 

“She realized what a difference that ________ for her friend,” said Jessica Musser,Andi’s mother.“That was so ________ to do.She asked, “ Can we do this for more people? ” She took the initiative (倡议) at that ________.” 

So, Andi ________ her principal with her idea to ________ a Kindness Closet, a place where ________ students can visit during the school day to “shop” for a new coat or ________ worn garments.

She came to me, and having knowing what she thought, I said,“Great, let’s do it, ” Principal Adam Stein said.

________, Andi doesn’t have enough clothes.She came up with an idea and asked local stores for ________.

“It’s great for Andi to see her vision ________,” Principal Stein said.“It’s part of our ________ here at Shreve and Triway.It’s what every principal and parent would want for their kids to do — to put others first.”
