Recently, I went to a hospital to visit a friend of mine. After I got there, I began to look for a parking spot. But it was not easy to find one. Finally, I managed to park my car near the entrance of the hospital. As I got out to pay for the parking fee, I noticed a man searching his pockets for some change. He searched everywhere but couldn’t find any. “Do you need any help?” I asked. “Yes. I left my house in a hurry and forgot to take any change with me,” he said in an embarrassed voice. I took out some change and handed it to him, saying, “Here, take it.” “Thank you so much,” he said gratefully while taking the change from me. I smiled and left. I loved helping others and didn’t think much about it.

Before returning home, I went to the grocery store first, because there was almost nothing left in the fridge. The store was a twenty-minute drive away from my house, so I wanted to buy food for at least two days. I took a shopping cart and started filling it. Half an hour later, my shopping cart was almost full. I pushed it to the checkout counter and paid for all.

I put the bags in the car and tried to start the car but failed.

The young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father said in a loving tone, "My dear son, I am so proud of you. But I hope you can remember: never spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. Sometimes we don't realize the good fortune we have or we could have because we expect 'the packaging' to be different. What may appear as bad fortune may in fact be the door that is just waiting to be opened." The young man was inattentive (不注意的) to his father's words and responded impatiently. "OK, I know. Now, where is my gift? Dad." His father handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name carved in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money, you give me a Bible?" He then stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful wife and a lovely son, but realizing his father was very old, he thought perhaps he should go to see him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make the arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take charge.

Once upon a time, there lived a young man who was always worrying about things, and could never be truly happy with his life. Once one problem went away, he found another.

One day, he told his friend his problems. His friend said, “There is a wise man whom you can visit. Perhaps he’ll have answers to all your problems. ”

So the young man hurried to the place where the wise man was staying. After waiting for a while, he was invited to talk to him. “I’m unhappy all the time, ” he told the wise man. “I have problems at home, problems with work and problems with my health. Please show me how I can deal with all my problems and live a happy life. ”

The wise man smiled and said, “Young man, I’ll tell you how to solve your problems tomorrow morning. But first, can you offer me some help?” The young man was surprised, but he said that he could. “I’ve brought a hundred camels with me, ” said the wise man, “I’d like you to take care of them tonight. When each of them sits down, you can go to sleep!”

Then the wise man went away, leaving the confused young man to go and look after the camels. All night, the young man tried to get all the camels to sit down. But there were always some that were standing up.

Early the next morning, he found the wise man sitting outside his tent, drinking tea. “Young man, did you sleep last night?” the wise man asked.

“I didn’t sleep at all, ” the young man replied, with a yawn (打哈欠). “I tried and tried, but I couldn’t get all the camels to sit down at the same time. As soon as one group sat down, another stood up. ”

“If I’m right, ” the wise man smiled and said, “this is what happened last night.

“So, ” said the wise man, “what you need to understand is that our problems are just like the camels.
