Dinosaur Isle

It is located in Sandown, a seaside town on the southeast coast. It's a large, lovely museum, both fun and educational. Here you can see a large fossil collection of all kinds of dinosaurs, as well as a gift shop. You can walk into the past and then the future, learning about the history and the development of the civilization of dinosaurs that lived 120 million years ago.

Robin Hill Country Park

The park is in the beautiful countryside, and is suitable for children's parties and games. It has five new gardens, and offers great opportunities to see and take pictures of the rare red squirrels.

The West of the Wight

Here we have the Marine Aquarium, the Archaeology Exhibition and the Model Railway. They offer another opportunity to combine fun with learning. This is a great place to see ancient boats crossing the narrow strait between the island and the mainland.

The Wight Bus Museum

This museum is run completely by unpaid volunteers. It has a bus collection stored in what was once a warehouse (仓库). Most of the buses in the museum date back to around the 1910's.

Set in the rosy sandstone desert of northeastern Arizona, Canyon de Chelly National Monument is filled with paradox (悖论), because although the ruins are vast, they give us more questions than answers. Home of a large population, the settlement at Canyon de Chelly seems to have been abandoned almost overnight, for no apparent reason.

Archaeologists (考古学家) have found that people lived in Canyon de Chelly for longer than they lived in almost any other place in early America. Filled with beauty, the national monument covers 131 square miles, including the canyons of the de Chelly, del Muerto, and Monument River. With steep canyon walls and rushing rivers, this is an excellent place to explore cool spots on the canyon floors.

Most park guests arrive by car and begin their visit at the overlooks on South Rim Drive or North Rim Drive. The changes of altitude in the monument are truly dramatic with thousands of feet drops. For example, the highest park overlook is at 7, 000 feet while the visitor’s center is at 5, 500 feet. On the South Rim Drive, you’ll find the White House Ruin is located in a long, low cave in a rocky face. While hiking the White House Ruin Trail, be on the lookout for wildflowers and rock art. For a fun side trip, head to the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, home to 700 different plant species, including many gorgeous wildflowers.

In nearby Chinle, Arizona, you can arrange for special park guides. The weather can be unpredictable here, so always carry a raincoat with you, prepared for sudden afternoon showers. Generally, the spring and fall are the best limes to visit. Summer is hot and dry, and winter is cold, and snowy. In the fall, be particularly aware of thunderstorms that can blow in quickly.

Below are several most convenient resorts (胜地) to enjoy a day of skiing in the Alps.

St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria

Having about 350 kilometers of pistes (雪道), it is the largest skiing area in Austria and the 5th largest in the world. Skiers of every level will find their perfect ride here, but it’s the advanced level that will benefit most. Some snowboarders, however, might struggle on flat connections between the bigger skiing areas.

Davos, Switzerland

Davos is where the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum takes place. Every year in late January world leaders will come to this small village. Besides that, Davos is the biggest skiing resort in Switzerland with its 300 + kilometers of pistes. Davos is very high in the mountains, so good conditions are almost always guaranteed. And the pistes are very wide and well-maintained, so skiing here is pure joy.

Kitzbüihel, Austria

Kitzbühel is frequently ranked as Austria’s best ski resort. And for a good reason—it has it all and, most importantly, in good balance.

Great conditions. Well-prepared pistes. Many restaurants and bars creating a lively Après Ski atmosphere. All of it will make up for great time—be it a day trip or a week-long holiday.

Every January Kitzbühel hosts the FIS Alpine World Cup, which some consider to be the most spectacular skiing competition outside the Winter Olympics.

Chamonix-Mont Blanc, France

Being one of the oldest resorts in France, it has been a world-class destination for skiing since it hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Throughout the year this village welcomes thousands of hikers, cyclists, mountaineers, rock climbers and, of course skiers. While it is beginner-friendly, it’s a destination for experienced skiers and those seeking adventure. In particular, it’s very famous for its off-piste options.
