Many years ago, when I was a little kid, my family was not rich. I would often help do something for the neighbors to _________ a little pocket money.

I put my hands in the jar and __________ so much money that it was __________ for me to buy what I badly needed. Later, I returned several times to see the woman and she did just as she __________ . She looked at my report card and gave me a handful of dollars and delicious food every time I __________ her that I had an “A”.

I was 12 years old when I moved from that neighborhood. I will never forget the huge __________ this wonderful lady made over my life with her __________. This is something I hope to do myself in this lifetime over and over again.

About 50 feet from shore, two brothers were fighting for their _______. They had been swept out to sea in a rapid current, their mouths _______able to stay above the water.

Grabbing him under his arms, he ________ him up onto his board. Stratton and Weibel, ________, were trying hard to help the older brother. He was large, 250 to 300 pounds, and he was ________. “We told him, ‘Calm down—we got you!’” says Weibel. “He feared he was going to die. ” However, York arrived ________ to help get the older brother on the second board.  

“When we come across an ________ like this one, it’s usually too late by the time we get there,” says Dillon Cleavenger, a rescue worker. “The four boys were willing and prepared to ________ their lives. I can’t say enough about what they did. ”
