When I was in high school, there was a time when everyone in class cast down and need a bit of a cheer. On an afternoon, our English teacher, Mr. Liu walked into our classrooms, he noticed our feelings. He drew a picture on the whiteboard, what showed a half-full glass of water. He then said, “Class, the point of view from which you look at things will affect your feelings. Like this glass of water, some people see it and think ‘Only half a glass of water. How unfortunately I am.’ However, other people think ‘I’m so thirst. Half a glass of water for you! It is all in the way we think.” Later, all of us kept up spirits, and at last our efforts was paid off.

Mr. Liu’s optimistic way of thinking always make me feel glad and hopeful. I’m so grateful that I’ve met so a good teacher in my life.

Weekends seem to be the very time when my classmates and I most look forward to, especially this weekend. Having prepared for the camping for over two weeks, we set off excitedly in the morning as planning. On arriving at the foot of the mountain, we set out climb. We were talking or laughing all the way. Standing on the hillside, they could overlook the village in the distance. With smokes rising from chimneys and a river running through the village, the scenery was so attractively that we enjoyed ourselves a lot. At noon, we finally reach the top, where we would be set up our tents and spend the night. How an unforgettable trip!

This summer holiday, I went to a seaside city with my family. We get there by air. It is a very beautiful and modern city, that impressed us a lot. On the first day, we took a bus to a place call the Sea Park. There were such many different kinds of fishes that I couldn’t believe my eyes. In the second day, we went swimming, and we all enjoyed ourselves. During the next two days, they went to some tourist spot, shopping and taking photos. Several days late, we left the city. Although we were tired on our way home, but we felt happy about the holiday. What unforgettable experience!
